I did exactly the same process with my 640i . I could show pictures identical to your drilled out bolts. It takes time and patience but beats welding or torching and destroying the wheel. Good job sir, I recommend this method.

Thanks a lot. It wasn’t easy, but I was able to drill it out. 428i Grand Coupe

Thank you for the view. I know that sometimes people get lucky with certain situations. I’m glad it worked out for you.

Thanks for this. The drilling method worked for me. I had tried a die grinder, wouldn't cut the bolt head. Bought a 1/2" cobalt bit and drilling the head off. The remaining bolt came right out.

@@mattpinones5848 I tried literally everything I could think of, spent a fortune trying to get it off buying different tools, etc. In the end I took it to my local garage and they hammered on a slightly smaller socket over the existing bolt with a big ass mallet and and used a breaker bar with tons of pressure to release it. Took them about half an hour to do and only charged 10 bucks for the trouble. I thought it would damage the wheel or hub, but all good in the end. 👍

You were very lucky! Be sure to put anti size on all of the wheel bolts.

Never lubricate your wheel bolts/ studs just make sure they are clean and rust free.
