Julian thanks so much for this. 40plus years ago I got a copy of Irish bagpipes plans from wilbert garvin the author himself.. 40 years later I'm finally seeing the way forward thanks to you. Thank you, Julian, for the fascinating glimpse behind the curtain. I am always interested to discover how things are made and I am particularly pleased to see that bagpipes, most visceral of beasts that they are, require tooling and techniques which take feel, adjustment, more feel, a cup of tea and then a burr on the edge. 54 minutes have simply flown by and it is indeed now my bedtime.
