Its so sad to see so many negative comments here. Being a South Indian myself I watched in both languages. I did enjoy both versions equally. But it’s their choice to choose which language they want to watch it in. They are not saying original is bad. They already gave their reasons at the start. Suggestions are definitely okay but being so negative to them is very disrespectful. And everyone has preferences which are subjective, they can have a taste too which can differ from me and you. I guess most of the mayalam fan boys are at this point just forcing them to watch their own version. Stating their preference is one thing. But there are so many negative comments hating on the remake which they probably didn't even watch properly and are blindly hating on it just cuz it's a remake and it's not in their own language. But like myself, most of my countrymen have grown up watching this version of the movie with their family and friends. We absolutely loved it. Ajay Devgan is phenomenal in these roles where he's portraying a family man absolutely unshaken in his principles and going as far as needed to defend his family. I am very optimistic you will love this version of the movie. You already cleared it in the beginning and the fact that these people are still doing this cheap thing is itself indicative of what they think about respecting others' opinions. I think you should continue watch this version for now. And maybe later you upload the reaction of the original version on your Patreon or as a members only series. And as for the fanboys, if you are really against them watching this version, criticize it will valid points and stop saying "oh it's a remake, why don't you just watch the original".

I liked both the version. In original movie u get to feel their family's situation like financial and emotional better but i liked the corrupt police officer's acting better in the hindi version it really shows how much he hated the main actor. This is a remake. Big B is a movie which as a Malayali I enjoyed, and that was one of the movies which started the new wave in Malayalam cinema. But I would be ashamed to suggest that movie to someone as our own as it is a remake of a Hollywood movie. It's a basic sensibility. A cinema is an art. Have some sense and shame. For example koshish (1972), Victoria 203(1972), Munnabhai MBBS, 3 idiots, Golmal(1979), Hero, Arjun, Mr.india, Ghayal, Aankhein (1993), Darr, Damini, Krantiveer, Sarfarosh, Andhadhun, Bunty aur Bubly, Khosla ka ghosla, Johny gaddar, A Wednesday, Delhi Belly, oh my god, Kahani, Anamika, karz and there are lot more. See this is the difference between education and literacy. You people consider yourself educated but you are just literate. I do not belong to the northern part of india but the central part of india, I closely observed the comments from the South part of india and it always reminds me of j.Sai Deepak statement that hatred embedded in your part of our country is more dangerous than ak47 in Kashmir because it spreads into the heart. Anand Ranganathan also stated in reply of an idiot from south about boasting of great temples of south and no such old temples to be found in North, Mr. Ranganathan gave the reason that due to Shivaji, Punjabi and Rajput resistance, Mughals were unable to destroy temples down south even though he stated about temples captured by Mughals and later freed by shivaji because it is not about difference but about similarity i.e. culture and religion. All southern languages and Hindi derived from Sanskrit. Even subrimanyam swamy in an interview listed many words which are similar in hindi and our other languages. Hindi or Tamil or any other Indian language is all lovely and respected. Hindi gets more recognition just because it connects all Punjabis, sindhis, Bengali, malyali, Gujarati, Rajasthani, Marathi in one thread at time of battle with Mughals and Britishers. Further, you need to analyse 2 more thing. 1. All other regional cinema be it Marathi, Bengali, bhojpuri, Punjabi etc has no hate for other language but south people have, 2. Here we appreciate Kamal Hasan, rajnikath as same as Amitabh bacchan and others because we treat all of them as one, we appreciate their art not their language or region. But this is the worst about the south people. I am not writing this with any anger or hate but with a very heavy heart as I had experienced it in last 8-10 years. To consider someone else inferior on base of language, region is not a sign of an educated person. Thus I state that there is a difference between education and literacy. Last one more thing I want you to analyse is; why we all (hindi as well as other languages speaking Hindus) chant mantra is sanskrit and not our local language because every language have vibration and neither Hindi nor any other language have those vibration, so we all still chant mantras in Sanskrit. Hindi and other languages are the daughter of Sanskrit language and we definitely love our mother but don't disrespect Mausi (mother's sister). Have a heart but it should be free from such a snobbish attitude.

You are watching the right version…HINDI VERSION is awesome and you have to also watch Drishyam 2 ( Hindi version also ) …. Drishyam 2 is A MUST WATCH….ten times better that the first part. It’s not often you find sequels better than the original. ( PLUS THE CAST OF PART 2 IS OUTSTANDING ESPECIALLY THE ADDITION OF AKSHAY KHANNA )
