Financial troubles? The guy is not struggling financially. At all. He just made his money being a big-time Hollywood star, got bored of that, but still has a passion for acting, so he does a lot of indie films and 'strange' films. He's just like Elijah Wood, basically. Same story with Elijah Wood. The reason you don't see him in big mainstream films anymore is not because Hollywood doesn't want him. It's the other way around. Some actors just get tired of the mainstream Hollywood scene, but instead of quitting acting, they just get involved in the indie scene, making more experimental films. Just for fun and for the passion of acting.

And, of course the black Ray Bans. Which brings us to why he had to get shot in the eye. The whole image of him black leather jacket over a tee...shotgun... Ray Bans - but one eye damaged - and red, but it still not stopping him on his rampage... ..is Arnie Schwarzeneggar T2 if ever I saw it - and frankly, I'm ashamed you missed it. P.S. Oh, and "the accountant" is one part T1000 (liquid metal Terminator "2") and one part "Charles" from Metalocalypse. Right...??

Yeah I love that detail. The director even confirmed; there are only 3 supernatural things in the entire film: Milton, The Accountant and The Godkiller. It only adds to the contemptiblity of our villain. On top of everything that's morally wrong about what he and his cult are doing, Jonah's ritual would accomplish exactly nothing, even if he successfully completed it. So not only is what he's doing disgusting, but it's also completely pointless, which makes him an idiot as well as a piece of human garbage. I mean, the only actual Demon in the movie, maybe the only one that is currently on Earth at all, not only isn't impressed with King and his merry band of Satan worshippers, but he actively holds off completing his own mission, just to help stop them. Which I think makes it pretty clear what Hell thinks of these sick morons.
