I mean, I've literally never heard of van Damme outside of his acting but every time Segal isn't acting (and 80% of the time when he is) he's an annoying douchebag. He's also a cop, which automatically makes him uncool. All that automatically makes van Damme better. Plus he can do the splits in a way that isn't comedic so... The opening scene in Timecop is one of my favorite opening scenes of any movie/film ever. I knew we were dealing with time travel, but I still did not expect that to happen. It inspired me to imagine so many ways in which I'd use contemporary weapons to take things in the past lol.
