thanks for the ride , I lived there from 1950 to end of 1974 , sure has changed , bit sad to see that everything has a big wall or a wire fence around , not a good sign , Both of my parents are buried in the old cemetery . I lived out at 17 mile when that was a long way out of town , sort of miss PNGin a way .

I do not think there is not opportunity in PNG, living there long enough to know - however, do not find it worthy and interesting enough to settle there...
