ive been reading that youre suppose to depress the tensioner 3x's and oil the bolts to avoid it being broken according to honda manual? i recently broke the screw inside the bracket

Hello, how difficult is it to replace the belt at the same time ? Car is a 2017 Honda Accord with 89k miles.

I recently replaced my belt on a 2003 v6, with the proper tool to release the tensioner as shown in this video took all of 10 minutes. Just make sure you draw a diagram of how the belt is on before removing. My user manual does not have a diagram.

Did you have any problems moving the tensioner? I was laying into it pretty good, it wouldn't budge, I'm using a tensioner tool , it's pretty long , well very long ,
