No acknowledgement of the Roaring 20s bar, LOL (445 Terry parkway)? I haven’t been there in years but it was a nice cozy neighborhood bar.

The Tenneco I remember being slightly farther down Terry Pkwy on the other side - it was visible from my front yard. I know it was there in '68 but can't remember if it had been built when we first moved there. What ever the white building is next to the Chevron station is right in front of our house. That entire corner remained an empty field even as they built the neighborhood and we always wondered what they'd put there. The Burger King and cleaners is the area a few very tiny shops were and I can only remember a tiny barber shop along with a place called Max's chicken in a box that came later and couldn't of stuck around very long. I think you're right about the location of the ball fields. They were right across Daniels St. I noticed whenever I search for anything on Terrytown I get a lot of crime. The only crime at the time was a housing project near the river, when did it start in Terrytown? That really breaks my heart because I haven't seen the place since June of '70 and it was about the safest neighborhood on the planet at that time. There appears to of been a dramatic racial transition that occurred.

Thanks for posting. I used to live on Delmar St, next to Daniels Rd. There was almost nothing there at the time except a Tenneco gas station, a water treatment plant, baseball fields and a few small shops. The kids used to walk across Terry Pkwy to the school but it look busy a road now for that kind of thing. I think I liked it better when Terry Pkwy was mostly empty fields.

The gas station at Terry Parkway and Daniels was originally a Gulf station, now a Chevron. The area between the new Walgreens at Carol Sue Avenue and Terry Parkway all the way down to Daniels is probably where the ball fields were. that is now occupied by a large apartment complex and the two shopping centers you can see in the video. There was a Tenneco station at the corner of Carol Sue and Terry Parkway from the early 70s until the late 80s, across from the new Walgreens. That was probably the end of Terry Parkway when you lived here. The Tenneco was torn down to build a Walgreens, which was replaced in 2013 with the Walgreens you saw under construction.

What is that red brick building at 12:23 on? It looks circa early 1800s. Just warehouses? Still by the river, on Tchoupitoulas?

As far as I know, they're warehouses. I've seen trucks backed up to the loading docks before, so I guess they're still in use.

What is on the right at the 14:00 mark? An old red brick building with blue shutters. A restaurant?
