He was, in the 50's a top and much honored actor and it is sad to see him wasted doing one-note performances on TV comedies.

Frank Sutton did some very convincing acting here. In fact the entire cast did. A 'B' movie that gets an 'A' in my book.
@brettlehman11142 жыл бұрын
Agreed, I know some are not happy with the ending but plenty of very good movies have ambiguous endings. It's very hard to call this a B movie with such a tight script and great cast.

07:00 Is there any reason why people in these movies never drink the beer they asked (and paid) for?
@kidmack355610 ай бұрын
It's a common occurrence in film and television. Not drinking nor eating the props. In 1974, my godfather's mother, who was a movie lover, pointed this out to me when we were watching something together. She pointed out how the actor on screen was really enjoying his meal, when most performers usually "play" with whatever is in front of them during the scene. That's why Warren Beatty eating that Eskimo Pie ice cream in Bonnie & Clyde (1967) really stands out to me as being a great scene and his craftsmanship. He's in control of his lines and the ice cream bar and tearing that ice cream UP! And his co-star Faye Dunaway didn't do badly with the hamburger either.
@realskybluepink91247 ай бұрын
Generally, the prop foods or cigs used in films aren't eaten, smoked, due to film continuity issues. Need the Master Shot, and keeping those quantities of food, etc., in proper order is difficult. Also, often the foods are fake, too. Michael Caine mentioned this in an acting class somewhere here on utoob also.

Remember watching this film around 1999 or 2000 when I lived in Italy, it was on a satellite channel that showed lots of little-known movies. The acting is actually quite good. Not a bad movie at all and was no doubt made on a very low budget. Frank Sutton who plays Ollie died of a heart attack in 1974 aged just 50. James Franciscus died in 1991 aged 57, and Bill Hinnant who plays Stanley drowned whilst on holiday in 1978 aged just 42. Can't find anything much about Tarry Green.

There are always jobs for young fellows... Clearly from before the bosses of Western companies discovered the cheap labour countries. It's always been like that since the start of the industrial revolution. The first textile factories opened in cities, but then the bosses discovered that labourers on the countryside will be cheaper. If ever there are really Martians, you may rest assured some folks with suits and ties will want to know whether they are cheaper than the Chinese, Vietnamese or Cambodians.
