@@maybeJace ofc Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute use to be one of my favorite location to go , also theres the zoo utica zoo also Union Station where the dmv local , also there is F T Proctor Park one of my favorite parks , it's calm city not alot of gang are in the town small city with good community , good luck,

We’re you stationed at Griffiss? I live right off of Floyd ave by the old base entrance. I should do a video of the base and the old base housing. It is much different now

@@rmanna Funny that you mentioned Griffiss. I worked at RADC IN 76 and 77 for a contractor building the Anechoic Chamber used for testing in the development of the Air Launched Cruise Missile. The base always had something going on back then .

Take a left where the video stopped to get to the Utica Zoo, Utica College directly on the right, and Paxton - St. Lukes hospitals are down the road if you turn right. I'm fairly certain that what we call downtown actually ends once you pass Oneida Square about a half mile behind. But all in all an enjoyable video. Almost makes me homesick (almost🤣).

I used to pump gas at bud's shell on john street, back when gas was 30 cents a gallon, and love was only 60 cents away, but the engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did back in 1954!

I'm traveling to Utica in a couple of weeks for a wedding.l You drove past the hotel I'm staying at. Great video. I used Google maps to get the lay of the land but this video was awesome. Any suggestions for something fun to do in Utica? I have a spare day. What about that marsh? Is that a nice hike?

I hate to say it. But I have never done the marsh hike. If you do go please let me know, it could be a cool video. If you have the time be sure to go and check out Utica Coffee while you are in town. It isn’t to far from the hotel, a nice walk if the weather is nice.

What happened to the Utica Aud? Went to my first concert there. I think it was 1978, Molly Hatchet, UFO and REO Speedwagon. And Oneida Square is no longer Square.

The Utica aud is still there. They do a lot of hockey games for Utica college and the Utica Crunch. Yeah the winters there are no joke.

Doobie Brothers 6400 attendees I believe it was a record for the Utica aud. So crowded when we left, the pressure was so hard, I almost suffocated then suddenly the window a large one at that, blew out and out the window we all went.

Was a great place to grow up in the 60's and the 70's . But I got smarter than the average Bear and moved on in the 80's while the gettin was good . But I have alot of great memories.

@@rmanna It actually was a great place to grow up . All good things must come to an end I guess . I remember downtown was packed with people, stores, and things to do. It was safe and kids were everywhere. We played golf, skiing and skating and great concerts at the War Memorial Aud . Now I'm 67 years old but I got those great memories. And those you can't take away .
