Taking the belt off to verify the noise is from a driven item is helpful. Then using a stethoscope to narrow it down.

Congratulations on the first drive. Viscosity coupler on the fan is a likely culprit of your noise. Great to see your progress. Congratulations again!

I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler after rebuilding the engine few months later I have a noise just like that and I figured it out. It was the fan clutch.😢

Just some food for thought that a viscious coupler fan (which I believe yours i but I'm not all that familiar with jeeps) needs to be stored upright and if laid on its side for prolonged periods of time can cause it to fail which is what I personally think happened with yours while you were rebuilding the jeep. Can't wait to see this thing finished!

I had a squeaky sound come from the front of my engine. Changed the idler pulley still had the squeak. Check all the other pullies they were find. Changed the serpentine belt no more squeak. Read that if coolant gets on your belt it can mess it up. The old belt was only 2 years old but I did spill some coolant on it and it ruined the belt. When you inspected the belt it looked fine but the coolant leaves a film that can't be seen with the naked eye. And over time it will cause the belt to squeak.

get ntk o2 sensors only for tj jeeps - tjs have various issues thrown by bad o2 sensors sending shitty 5v signal to other sensors.

Any chance you could do a segment in one of the jeep videos breaking down the total cost? I’d love to know I’m re doing a 03’ ram and I get they are very different vehicles but any type of ball park would be appreciated

Depends on the materials you use and how much is needed to be replaced. Doyou need to swap or repair the frame??
@Thisappaintreal
@Thisappaintreal 3 ай бұрын
@@gasNmudtv nah the frame is almost perfect. I’ve already done entire front end, needs the 4.7 rebuilt or replaced. Has some minor rust that needs addressed. And paint work. Again I understand it’s a very different project than the Jeep restoration but I am curious to what the average person will/would spend restoring something not super old

Easy way to get the code- turn the key three times (without actually starting it) and the odometer will light up with any codes.

I'm sorry for saying this, but it takes a real "special" person to take an untested newly finished vehicle for a ride with no seat belt.
