Awesome overview and feedback here!! Really grateful for the kind words, and also for you taking the time to go into all the details you did, from highlighting product info like the texture differences and floorplate function, to your experience across platforms and possible concerns in line with that. With how many variations there are of the AK platform as a whole, it helps me a TON to see what people are experiencing like this, and once I get some of my current projects pushed far enough along, I’m going to investigate a spacer for the top of the grips, some sort of softer plastic/near rubber material that can be sandwiched between the grip and receiver to provide that cushion + overhang support. I’ll get in touch with you about this - would love to loop you in on that development process when the time comes and try to get things dialed! Thank you for your support and spreading the love. Appreciate you!! - Brett

Thank you! Glad you liked the video and that it was helpful. I look forward to hearing about that spacer, that would be very cool.

@@milesmalik1987 Ain't it cool when companies take in feedback and critiques and use it to workshop new design ideas IN PUBLIC, rather than ignoring it or harassing the end users *cough cough*

@@JackTagar Yes, the amount of time and testing companies esp. small companies in this industry devote toward practical function testing of products is surprising low, unfortunately, but if you are familiar with the time and money required is very understandable. Feldmutze is able to see the good and bad details in accessories on various rifle platforms. Combinding the two types of parties’ interests can/will result in better products.

FYI - the name comes from an adapter they have to put CZ shadow 2 (& CZ75) grips on an AR15. The version you have is just the shape of that adapter with shadow 2 palm swell grips on it - I have the same grip you have for my AR and it's fantastic.

Ah gotcha, thanks! The name makes a lot more sense now.

I've got whopper Jr sized hands, I love this grip, I used to think the td grip was number one but this takes the cake.

This is my first time seeing that grip and I just ordered one immediately! Thank you! Going to subscribe now.

Nice looking grip. The palm swell looks like it would fit well. Thanks

The reinforcement plate issue is the same reason I had to take the Tango Down grip off my KR-9. Super uncomfortable having your hand jammed into the edge of the hinge.

I think someone last time suggested the Meridian/Hogue collab AK grip which also looks promising, (and half the price of this one) so maybe something for the future.
@Feldmutze4 ай бұрын
That grip looks like it could be pretty good overall though maybe a bit too narrow, and since I'm usually not a fan of rubberized grips myself I don't think I would like that one very much.

Id be interested in your opinion on the Hogue grip with the samson ak tool insert.
@Feldmutze4 ай бұрын
I hadn't seen that Samson AK tool insert before so I looked it up and that looks like it would be a really good idea, but dang that price is really steep for what you're getting.
@patrickclark94304 ай бұрын
@Feldmutze I agree. Samson tends to charge a lot. But their build quality is really good too. Looks like a decent amount of machining with the tool. But ii agree itd probably be more popular 30-40 dollars less.

Nice seeing a slr104 their expensive by a lot now I was in a pawnshop and they wanted 3500 for one I’ve wanted one but not for that price 🤣
@Feldmutze4 ай бұрын
Dang, it sucks how much the SLR104 has gotten unreasonably expensive over the past few years. It's one of the best AKs imo but absolutely not worth $3,500.

Question, what's the name of the lower handguard you're using? Doesn't look like the TDI variant. Is it a real AK100 series?

Yes, they sent me replacement firing pins so the rifle is back up and running, they had just forgotten to send me the shipping tracking # when I originally contacted them.

I'm using an AK-9 lower handguard + Magpul upper handguard on the PSA AK, and a Zenitco B-10 + B-19 on the SLR-104.
