The more sedans that disappear from the market, the more I appreciate the ES.
@COMMANDERFOX31 Жыл бұрын
Sedans will never go anywhere. Yes, there have been more SUV purchases in the last decade but the popular sedans like the Camry, Corolla, Civic, ES/IS, Mazda 3, Elantra, etc. have all seen big sale numbers over the last few years because they are after all cheaper and more efficient. In this economy, not everyone wants a giant lifted vehicle that hogs 20mpg just to get to a local Walmart.

To the point you made about eco mode only affecting throttle response, I believe does use the air con more efficiently too, so probably saves a tiny bit on fuel

in Camry it also affects the air con and Active Glide Control, and engine braking, this is what I noticed during my road trips, So I use normal for city, econ for highway, I do not like sport, because it tries to rev engine with every tiny foot move on accelerator pedal and makes it louder ;) And acceleration is the same with eco vs sport if you press the pedal to the metal, and this is my preferred way to accelerate with Camry.

This 300h vs a Prius. Who y’all got the Prius or the es 300h

Does the back seat come down for more room to move things? Does it have heated back seats? I think that both the Toyota avalon hybrid and es300h are made in the same plant in Kentucky back in 2022.
@tonysterbenc10 ай бұрын
No and no. Avalon's top models had both. No ES has either one. You'd probably prefer a certified Avalon, and they're a terrific value too.

Thats such a cute car Wonder why they never had heated seats option in the back seats.

I know the battery is back there. I wonder if it may have something to do with that?

They had third zone of climate, remote for multimedia, heated seats, reclining back of seats,windows shades and buttons for control front passenger seat

The Takumi trim level has rear heated seats.
@tonysterbenc10 ай бұрын
@@blueangel1972 Right. They have heat, recline, and rear controls in some countries, just not in the States.

Do you think Lexus will follow Toyota away from electric vehicles toward hydrogen power?

How come Toyota can make cars last a lifetime yet other car companies, at similar age, can't make a car that lasts 5 years?

I am a Lexus family. ES for me, and RX350 for wife.

The engine sounds terrible when you are hard on the gas. Otherwise, it’s a nice and quiet car. I just hope Lexus drivers can stay in the right lane to enjoy their ES/other Lexus (excluding IS) and leave the left lane for people who drive faster.

Like ES 350 owners.

If you put a half empty bottle of water in the bottom steering wheel spoke, the auto drive will never beep to tell you to put your hands on the wheel. You can have the car drive for you most of the way. Breezed through 500 miles a few weeks ago without barely touching the wheel on my 2021 Lexus es 350…

I noticed in the night portion of your video that the infotainment screen on which the nav was displayed appears to be quite bright. Does it have a night mode to reduce the brightness?
@melvindwayne Жыл бұрын
Yes, of course, it is autodim and it changes to night mode on its own, changes google maps from white daytime to darktheme/night map on its own as well, this happens whether you're using Apple CarPlay or AA, or using NOTHING, like the Lexus Stock Map Navi, AutoDim is very accurate.

It has Pioneer sound system, an upgrade from previous Lexus premium sound, but lesser than Mark Levinson sound system.

Not sure why Lexus won't make more PHEV's...Problem is once you drive a PHEV a hybrid or ICE will never match the smoothness, comfort and quietness of a PHEV....It's night and day difference imo in terms of comfort...
@Sashazur4 ай бұрын
The only difference between a regular hybrid and a PHEV is the latter has a bigger battery and you can plug it in. The performance and noise and ride etc are the same.
@pete640414 ай бұрын
@@Sashazur That isn't true. I own a rx450h and an x50e. The x50e is considerably quieter and smoother. It's not even close...Also the batteries add 180 hp on top of the gas engine, so no the performance is not the same either.
