The more sedans that disappear from the market, the more I appreciate the ES.
@COMMANDERFOX31
@COMMANDERFOX31 Жыл бұрын
Sedans will never go anywhere. Yes, there have been more SUV purchases in the last decade but the popular sedans like the Camry, Corolla, Civic, ES/IS, Mazda 3, Elantra, etc. have all seen big sale numbers over the last few years because they are after all cheaper and more efficient. In this economy, not everyone wants a giant lifted vehicle that hogs 20mpg just to get to a local Walmart.

I actually really appreciate the USB-C ports. For a car that is almost certainly going to be drive for the next decade by most owners, it's much more future-proofed than having a bunch of USB-A ports everywhere. If I just wanted a car to get from point A to point B comfortably and reliably with some luxuries over like, an accord, this would be my car. I love the ES and I've always also loved the exterior design. Quite a handsome vehicle IMO

I did a 450 mile road trip in my 2023 ES 300h a couple days ago, it was fantastic, and I had almost a half tank of fuel left :O The mpg was slowly increasing the entire way, ending at a crazy 58mpg, going 68 miles an hour, with AC on, in normal driving mode. At first I thought the computer must have gotten it wrong, so I did the math myself and yep, 450 miles, just over half a tank does ball park 58mpg! The lane tracing is dependent on how good the lines on the road are, if the lines are good then it doesn't flinch, but if the lines are degraded then it can freak out occasionally.

Same as you, I almost immediately got into a wrestling match with the lane assist as well and described it to a friend the same way you did. It was a very forceful and almost ripped the wheel out of my hands. That was that...Turned it off and never thought about it again. Otherwise the car is fabulous. I use android auto and it is perfect. Soon as I start up my phone connects and goes to the screen. I use voice Control to do everything. So happy I chose this car. My poor highlander is pretty lonely these days unless I need it for hauling stuff or going biking etc. 42 mpg since I got it doing everything including putting it into sport mode and driving fast for a bit to see how it handled it.

My real world MPG is more like 42.2, not babying it at all. @BartoszRybacki0
@BartoszRybacki0 Жыл бұрын
in Camry it also affects the air con and Active Glide Control, and engine braking, this is what I noticed during my road trips, So I use normal for city, econ for highway, I do not like sport, because it tries to rev engine with every tiny foot move on accelerator pedal and makes it louder ;) And acceleration is the same with eco vs sport if you press the pedal to the metal, and this is my preferred way to accelerate with Camry.

I’ve had this car for a few weeks now. Atleast in London, it’s super rare. I’ve only seen one. It turns heads wherever i go and i’ve driven all sorts, s classes, rolls etc. The car has everything you’d want if you spec it right. Just two problems. Personally for me not enough power, i’m used to more. And the electronics do tend to interfere with my driving alot which has arguably nearly caused crashes. But comfortable, quiet, elegant. Everything is where it needs to be button wise etc. Really gives good competition when compared to the equivalent of a 5 series or e class.

It just depends on what you value the most in my opinion. If you are looking for reliability and quiet, plushy ride with a bit of luxurious in your vehicle? Then ES would be the one. But, if you’re looking for driving experience and handling then no brainer, absolutely BMW all the way.

Drive a Toyota Camry then drive the ES. Mechanical and drive train identical yes but the feel and actual driving experience is night and day difference. If you want practicality for a simple car to take you from point A to point B, Camry is the way to go. If you want that extra class and luxary ES is the way

Yes, of course, it is autodim and it changes to night mode on its own, changes google maps from white daytime to darktheme/night map on its own as well, this happens whether you're using Apple CarPlay or AA, or using NOTHING, like the Lexus Stock Map Navi, AutoDim is very accurate.

@@Sashazur That isn't true. I own a rx450h and an x50e. The x50e is considerably quieter and smoother. It's not even close...Also the batteries add 180 hp on top of the gas engine, so no the performance is not the same either.
