Got the first 2011 that came off the truck at my dealer. Have 57k miles on her already and will be getting another one at the end of the year. Great little car. Good gas mileage. Drives well. Parks easy. Not good on the highway in wind (especially on our way to Vegas) and the stock tires are noisy! New rubber quieted down the ride a ton! Overall a fine little machine.

I have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited, if you keep it maintained it is an awesome car. I still get compliments on this car still in 2021. It has its downfalls, for me its the suspension. Having replaced the struts, shocks, sway bar links it still feels like driving a golf cart. Don't expect a cloudy ride, Also the XM antenna has gone out, but other than that it's the bomb. I will never sell it. I may get a new car someday but I will always keep this car. Remember to check your recalls. I had to have the airbag replaced and the clockspring along with some other items.

Consumer Reports also mentioned the road noise, but it is highly recommended. Great review. The price is really good, the inside and out are outstanding and the warranty is unstoppable. Have a question, since it's a 4 cyl. How many people can you carry with you and how much does the car struggle to pull them up?

If you painted this car blue, it would look like a small shark. (I mean that in a good way.) The fluidic sculpture gives it a really aquatic look. In the words of Autobytel's Jeff Glucker: "This is a good looking car that gets great fuel economy, and is priced affordably well. This is a winner."

I have owned for a year and have never had a problem with visibility; which is something I myself was worried about at the time of purchase. Yes ~ Has outside temp. gauge. And lots of space in the center console. Very deep (about 12 in).

That's cool. My main concern is quality highs and mids. Bass is really easy to get with an aftermarket sub. Speakers especially tweeters, are sometimes a pita to replace. I appreciate the feedback.

How is the stock audio system? A lot of cars do bass rather well nowadays but the highs are usually pretty weak due to cheap tweeters or poor placement of them ie in the door aiming at your stomach region.

Just bought a 2011 in the same solid cream colour as the test example. My one is NZ spec so no glass roof or sat nav. But it DOES have dual zone climate control. Mine has 113,000km on the clock with full service history, and still looks and drives great. Was astounded to get 5.6 litres per 100 kilometres fuel consumption on a variable route (some flat, some hills and windy bits and speeds from 50km/h to 100km/h with just a little cruise control use on open sections). It's a good'un!

I own the 2012 Elantra (not limited) and have just over 15K (purchased 8/2011). I bought it new and have all my receipts for gas and tune-ups and on average I get only 22-24MPG city and close to 28MPG Hwy. My Toyota 1988 Camry had better city mileage :(! But since it was totaled by a hit and run driver, I got the Hyundai (based on fuel economy). The car looks great (which is why Kia and Toyota have 'copied' their design) but if I could return the car to the Hyundai dealer, I would!
@nukka20010 жыл бұрын
that's exactly what 1.8 L engine's always get. theyre so full of crap when they say 29/40. NO 1.8 L CAN ACHIEVE THAT. its just a flat out lie. my chevy sonic turbo gets 31 city/38 hwy. FROM HAVING A 1.4 L turbo engine. you need smaller then a 1.8 to break low 30 mpg's consistently. you have to get a subcompact to achieve 30-35. compact's are just too big to get that kind of mileage. the corolla may be a piece of shit, but at least they dont LIE about the fuel economy numbers lol.

+Doug N. It's good to hear that Hyundai has addressed the concerns with mileage with the newer models - but I don't have another 20K to pay for a vehicle-- so while it's great you're mileage is good with '13 and the '16, the thread is regarding the 2012 Hyundai Elantra ;). They made a lemon that year.
