Amazing budget build. I've always been interested in rally and wanted to do it simply for the fun of it, unfortunately I lack in both knowledge and skills when it comes to welding but you've inspired me to learn and get my hands dirty. These videos proved it can be done by anyone with little money and hopefully I will soon have my own amateur rally car. Once again thank you and I definitely subscribed.

nice build, but does anyone know where some common tracks are to race rallycross?

i think it would mainly run the stock class. the suspension geometry was unchanged, however the kia struts have 8 inches of travel in the front, 2 inches more than stock. it may qualify for prepped class, but its more for the stock class i would assume. thanks man!! have a good night

i have a 1999 mazda protege i was gonna dump until I saw this. I have always wanted to rallycross and now i feel like its definately plausible. My only question is dont you need to gut the back seat and put in like a roll cage? I have no idea what im talking about so I thought maybe you could enlighten me. Thanks and awesome car/videos

It would probably run Prep, maybe Mod, and the exhaust would have to be moved so it exits behind the driver, meaning anywhere behind the driver's door

really? thats good to know. the exhaust can be capped, and when its capped, it goes all the way to the back. full muffler and cat. conv. i didnt know about that rule

+DrivenCrazy yeah, it looks like a fun ride though. Enjoyed the videos and watching the process. I hope somebody buys it and comes out to play at some of the rallycross events. Definitely something I want to shoot.

Unless it gets a roll cage it won't be allowed to run in any class.

In SCCA RallyCross? You can run in SCCA RallyCross without a cage. I've run my car without a cage.
