Thanks for the honesty and directness with the yearly recap. I like the idea that success means you are able to enjoy the units for yourself, with little to no cost--sounds like a win!! Happy New Years.

Hey love the video. We actually started an RV rental company and hit 6 figures the first year. Main thing was motorhomes/class C’s rent for more, you can charge for mileage, and they’re actually less work. I would highly recommend either swapping out one of those for one, or adding a motorhome but it would likely triple/quadruple your profit. Though they’re more expensive to buy so to each their own.

Well done! Where you based out of? We have talked about adding a class C as I thought it may actually rent out in the winter as our travel trailers are pretty much off the market for 6 months out of the year.

What class c do you recommend to buy so I can rent it out? Thank you.

Great informative video!! Thank you!! I am going to purchase an RV here in TX and offer it as a rental. QUESTION: Platforms like “Outdoorsy” require a Quarterly maintenance Check Up to be covered in case of an incident. How do you accomplish this? What is the cost? Did you factor this into your Return in Investment?

We do the maintenance check up ourselves. It would be hundreds of dollars to have a shop do. I had a local shop that wanted $250 an axle to do an inspection and grease the bearings. I just do it myself and document it.

Thanks for sharing, I reallyappreciateall your information! May I ask how much your annual insurance rate cost you per unit? What would be the monthly payment per unit? Im thinking of starting renting my RV also. But running numbers between my insurance ($700/yr) and my monthly payment of $357/mo kills the whole profit basically breaking even almost loosing money at the end of the year with an average rent of 35 to 45 rents in a 6 months season. It's a 2021 Forest River 33ft.

Like I mentioned in the video, we switched to Roamly and it's a little under 700/yr with some add ons. Like auto and home insurance, it went up this year which does dig into profits. We are getting closer to looking at rentals as a way to cover RV ownership costs vs it being an all out money making business. Here is my referral link if you want to check out a free quote from Roamly. Thanks! www.roamly.com/?tid=1020f8558ee732dd15e6fdf6b7415a&cam=R7&subcam=1746

Do you end up offering delivery? Or is that too much of a hassle?

We don't even offer it. I don't have the extra time and don't want the extra miles on the truck.

Depreciation will kill this as camper values are tanking. For less then $5,000 profit for all that work, I would find an easy side hustle that will pay 5K real quick without all the headaches. Your time required for the 6 monts makes you almost no money with time booking, cleaning, repairing, driving to Home depot to fix things etc.. Best of luck I just happened across your channel..

It's definitely a factor to be considered

Here is the deal, there is more to it than that due to the income tax benefits. This will take into account the depreciation. His accountant is taking a conservative approach, and you can take more than that. It just depends on your goals and how long you will keep the RV. How do you think these larger KZbin folks are affording these things that they feature on their channels.
