Sorry this happened to you but it's not discrimination. These things happen with crashes that happen with anyone with the city whether that's transportation. police etc but it will always go back to the homeowner's insurance to pay and you pay your deductible and risk your insurance going up. just pay for it out of pocket or leave it unfixed. It's all the taxpayers that end up paying if you try to sue the city for this. I've been in this type of situation myself and from what the guy said this is exactly the same thing as I went through and definitely not discrimination. Oh no, no, no. The negligent party pays for the damages their negligence caused. That means the bus operator was negligent for not yielding, therefore the repair bills go to the city. If you can’t afford to pay for the repairs yourself, and then bill the city, you can have your insurance company pay and they will collect from the city.

House Insurance is what you use, and why you have it. We had a car drive through our home not just the yard and it was house insurance which fixes it. It's the same idea when someone in front of you on the highway tosses a rock from it's tires into your windshield and you pay the $300 deductible.

Your Homeowner Insurance company should immediately get started on fixing the damage. They can then sue the bus company/city to recoup their money. And the bus company/city have their own insurance company, which will pay the claim, minus deductible, and up to the limit of the policy. After that, it comes out of the taxpayers’ hides.

honestly I'm surprised. the Brampton transit drivers usually ain't that bad compared to TTC and miway. MiWay has some of the worst drivers ever. just search up how many times their drivers have blowed through cars, bus shelters, and people. 😂

It’s Brampton. I saw zero diversity, and yeah as a long time resident this doesn’t surprise me one bit.

Oh gosh, Brampton is falling apart. I imagine somebody cut the bus line. This needs more investigation. Hopefully the residents will be provided with whatever the lost.
