@ams ims I know you didn't ask me but I thought I would help you out with that. Usually I use Vimm's Lair unfortunately it's pretty slow and seems like you can only 1 at a time but so far from using it, it seems safe. Hope this helps

omg this games reminds me of so many beautiful memories of my childhood. I used to play this game 24/7. I used to immitate the game at my daycare by playing with sticks and sing all the soundtracks. I remmeber when i accidently restarted thegame and i begged my brother to help me complete the game until the era change.

This game was a breath of fresh air, when you changed epoch it felt as if you just upgrade your console generation, everything just looked so modern and fresh in the blink of an eye 😂 I like the take of the main character appearance too, it was uncommon

Driver parallel lines in my word book its the meaning of my beautiful childhood i miss this game and will love it forever. memoriiiies and childhood is great. The think i love most about the game is the era change. When i turned 6 years old i still played this beautiful game and i accidently restarted the game. I cried and begged to my brother to help me complete the era change because it was so cool to play in 2006. And the songs on the radio. Do we really have to talk about them, just perfect songs. I even used to sing them in my daycare. This game needs more attention.

I only remember this game as the sequel to Driver 76 in the timeline of Driver stories, still the best Driver game along D1, D2, D3 and D76 + DR3D (Driver Renegade 3D) imo

Merry Christmas TimelessGaming. My favorite nostalgic games other than Driver 3 and GTA Vice City. If only this game was in the Playstation store available to purchase for the PS3 platform for a cheap price and to be honest, I didn't know this game was on PS2 when I was younger, including Driver 3. When I was in middle school and high school I watched gameplay of Driver: Parallel Lines of every mission by Willizyyy and I loved every moment of it. The action, voice acting, jumps, cool cars, crashes, and shooting was all excellent for me to watch. :)

Differences from the PC version: *More songs in both eras. *Simpler shaders (you can activate it on PC but cars reflections are broken in night time) *Textures are low quality. *Bigger FOV. *Sun effects are better in PS2 IMO. *Shadows are not as smooth as in the PC version but they don't disappear in the distance as PC shadows does. Pretty annoying. *You can rotate the camera 360 degrees around your car in the garage. *Differents menu design. *Some Weapons have different models and sounds.

How I wish they could have produced more new driver games.. like an hd version and with tanner and TK as the two playable protagonists and you can switch between them similar to GTA V. There should also be other features like the ability to customize the protagonist's appearance and clothing, accessible buildings or establishments like restaurants or clothing stores of different categories from formal to casual wear or barber shops for customizing their haircuts, or purchasable safehouses that can be used by certain protagonists(if you play as two different protagonists) Vehicles: would love to see police SUVs or police variants of any existing SUV plus swat trucks, military or fbi vehicles if the military and FBI are involved in the storyline Aircraft that can be piloted by the protagonists Airports or military bases, the latter of which may earn the player a wanted level for trespassing (just like in GTA v and san Andreas City or town outskirts or rural areas and towns

But that version has the worst soundtrack list where most songs are high pitched and other songs were removed from the PS2/Original Xbox version (unless you have the Restore PS2 Music), and also the PC version has a strange FOV where you feel like your car is too big for the screen (that can be fixed with the widescreen fix mod)

only software mode works for this game and Driv3r. The PC in this video is high-end and can run it in software mode at fullspeed.

There is no fix for slow speed issues other than a strong CPU. This game is broken on hardware mode so you have to rely on software mode and is very slow.
