I'm sorry if I I sulr any body but if you see a sign saying 10 ft you do NOTdruve a 13 ft. High trailer under it. I drove for 35 years long haul throughout the whole country . I can't figure out how drivers don't see this

Because they are from the desert and don't have any bridges there ! These people are taking jobs that Americans could get!

Doesn't the idjit know how high his truck is. Theiy've got enough signs telling the clearance so why are idjits trying to drive 12 foot trucks under it. I'm not buying his I didn't see the signs BS. Only if you were too lazy to look. If you're on the road driving. it's your responsibility to read ALL signs. I hope his employer fired him.

Driver clearly sees a overhead clearance way ahead of him so he would be slowing early to watch for signs and if he didn’t see signs he doesn’t know if he clears so he would be not choosing to drive under without the information, all the excuses are simply him not admitting he ruined the truck because he wasn’t paying attention to the path ahead of him.

You can only lower the roadway and the railroad has to give the county permission to do so as long as it doesn't undermine their bridge piers on each side of the road. The county could install gates on each side that will prevent a truck from trying to go under the bridge.

How about digging the road out to get the clearance.

How about reading the signs and knowing how tall your vehicle is.

Creek/water table nearby prevents that. Railroad won't pay to raise the bridge since it would be very expensive. Driver was using the motor home as an excuse. There are multiple signs on that road.

@@lifeisharsh20 And I utterly don't blame the railroad since the incline would have to slope gently for miles either side of a raised bridge. I suspposed this commnter would prefer train derailments to truckers actually being responsible drivers.

The correct remedy to a low bridge that is hit repeatedly is to build a new bridge or modify the road bed to achieve the proper clearance.

It's a railroad bridge and as has been explained before by this same news channel that to raise the bridge you'd have to build inclines for the train tracks for miles before and after or we'll have train derailments instead due to the sharp incline. How about truckers be rsponsible and actually read the numerous signs warning them of this before they even reach this bridge. This is due to pure laziness and irresponsiblity on those driving the trucks.

@@BlazeDuskdreamer point to the actual people at fault. These are not American drivers, let's just get that straight. One of my first Hauls as a driver was to Providence R.I. and that place is not set up for 18 wheelers. Never took out a bridge.

@@ralphowens4510 Point to where I ever claimed that all truckers were irresponsible. Obv the majority are responsible. It'd be every day if they weren't. My comment did mean hold those causing the accidents responsible instead of rebuilding a bridge and miles of train track at great difficulty, huge expense to the taxpayers and inconvenience to everybody just to enable the few that ignored all the signs and warnings (for whatever reason).
