31 Minutes. The reason for the changeover is unknown but it was a nice little detour from normal.

15:48, the yellow paint and what seems to be a break. and the tram crunches over it. is this an expansion joint, a broken thing or what. 16:34, do such guide posts have a long life span? 16:53, surely they don't expect cyclists to ride on this road? 28:47, i couldn't work out why the bridge over king st. was removed. i suppose melbourne aquarium wanted it removed.

Great. I had never realised Riversdale Rd and Power St were so undulating. When you're a passenger you don't notice.

So true. Take a look at one of the Driver’s View Trains Videos. That will be a lot more surprising, especially on the Belgrave line.

Your thumbnail photo and name was the clue. It is nice to have some regular overseas viewers. Most Rail fans cannot look past their own town or state. I will have a video on Chicago when a contact there finds time to name more locations.

I’m not sure what you want me to do but if you subscribe to my channel you should get a notification. Nevertheless nearly every Friday I put a new video up around 6 pm Australian Eastern standard Time. So if you check my channel after then, you should find the latest one.

Nice😊 At my time til 1982 the tram route number was 74 and the terminus was at Spencer Street Station now Southern Cross Station and Bridge Road was between Church Street and Punt Road also a bottelneck
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
The 74 only went to Burwood. Once the line was extended further out, the number went to 75 and stayed the same with further extensions out. I will cover the Docklands termini in due course. Today no regular service turns from Flinders Street into Spencer Street, or vice versa which I don’t think is a good idea.

Another great video. I'm an ex-pat now in the USA. Have they done away with that unusual left-hand turn in the city? I didn't see anyone doing it. It's been a very long time since I've been to Melbourne, 12 years or so and it was happening then.

Yes, the Hook Turn continues in use and has been extended to a couple of suburban locations as well. It stops right turn cars from blocking trams going straight ahead. See my Driver’s View Route 30 Video.

Have you considered making a few playlists categorised by video type? (e.g. Tram Driver's View, Metro ..., etc.)
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
Yes I certainly have been thinking seriously about putting them into separate lists but would like to understand more about the pros, cons and complications etc. Any experience yourself?
@JDeLaat5 жыл бұрын
I guess the main con would be that you need to remember to keep them up-to-date, so it's a little bit more maintenance on your side. On the other side, I can imagine that having separate playlists for similar videos (e.g. "Full metro line trips" vs. "Construction progress trips") makes it easier to search for a specific video.

What's route 79
@tressteleg15 жыл бұрын
I should have called it 78, the shortened version of the 79 which used to go North Richmond to St Kilda Beach. The 78 stops short at Prahran. Google will tell you more.
