@@scottyerkes1867 Yes it was close, but I’m sure the tram driver was at least half expecting this to happen. If driving, I know that I would’ve been very wary of that car.

Nice ride, slow. It nice. Time to check my memory of cross streets. Did not remember that a tram terminated at Blyth Street.

@@williamoreilly4479 Until about 5 years ago the 96 terminated just short of Blyth St - that was described on destinations as ‘East Brunswick Blyth St.’ It was a standard single track terminus. Then the present terminus was built on the far side of Blyth St. Unless you happen to ride a tram running late whose driver actually tries to catch up, you won’t get a fast ride in Melbourne. Traffic lights see to that.

Excellent video and the first time seeing a tram doing an emergency stop which was very impressive especially considering it was raining and the track would have been wet. I bet the car driver needed a change of underwear after that 😂
