This game isn't unrealistic because of the physics or such. No no, I owned that Alfa Romeo you drove and let me tell you, it isn't that fast, doesn't have anything resembling a boost (gass pedal included), nor will it run for that long without flipping breaking down!

I'm wondering when they'll remember their entirely sensible (though inefficient) idea to take the coast highway to SF, just keep the ocean on the left. If you don't know the roads (and don't know I5 is a thing) that is a very reasonable plan, straight shot, easy to follow, literally the biggest landmark on the planet to keep you on track.

In every single case, it seemed the smart thing to do would have been to ignore the possession mechanic and just race normally, as unless you get a really good hit in, the opponent slowdown from most crashes is miniscule. Nevermind the fact that it's actually pretty challenging to land a hit.

That was one of the biggest and best surprises in the game. The developers are obviously car people, they got the details of so many cars just right - the shaker scoop in the Challenger actually moves as the engine torque and twists in its mounts, the hood scoop on the Chevelle ACTUALLY FUNCTIONS.. and they knew that players would want to get the Delorean up to 88mph for a laugh, so they added in what is probably one the greatest "Easter Eggs" (not sure if it actually qualifies as that) in all of gaming history. As a car guy, this game is very special to me. It's like a carefully written love letter to anyone who loves cars. The only thing it was missing was the Ford Falcon from Mad Max, but then again they couldn't license actual movie cars so it would've just been a normal Ford Falcon.

Carnage Racing Yeah I was very surprised to all the attention to detail they put in. Once I hopped into the 57 Chevy Bel-Air and it ACTUALLY had the 2 speed Powerglide I was floored, they did so well.

Yes, it would. Have you ever seen True Lies? That was actually a bit realistic about gun safety at times. The mp falling down the stairs shooting on its own is also quite realistic as some soldiers who use the actual model told me.

As long as there isn't a part of the helicopter behind the launcher which absorbed the entire force of the backblast it'd be fine, the backblast is more about extreme heat from the gas, and also overpressure from the force of the gas being expelled. Y'know, a fundamental law of physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction sort of stuff. Big rocket goes forward, lots of gas goes backwards really fast as a result. Anyways. As long as no part of the helicopter catches much of the backblast it'd be fine, the helicopter wouldn't be pushed in any noticeable way, since the amount of force the helicopters rotor puts out massively overpowers the amount of force the rocket backblast would be capable of without touching the helicopter. Wait. She fired it with the back of the RPG pretty much pressed against the helicopter? She'd be burned horrifically from the gases being expelled and bounced straight off the helicopter and into her, and then she'd likely be thrown out of the helicopter by the pressure of the gas expanding outwards, like a very forceful gust of extremely hot wind. But honestly, it's not likely that the backblast would do much to the helicopter. It might provide some mild artificial turbulence, but there'd be no significant damage. Unless the metal on the tail of that helicopter is thin, in which case it'd buckle in, and the gas would use it as a blade to slice internal wiring, maybe damage the engine, and likely sever the driveshaft going to the tail rotor. Now, for those of you who don't understand how important a tail rotor is on a helicopter, let me spell this out. When a helicopter blade spins, it has to be angled so that it provides upwards force by slicing into the air and forcing that air downwards. But, because of the angling of the blades, a lot of spin is also generated. That's why a tail rotor exists, to counter the spin. If that tail rotor goes bye bye, the helicopter will spin pretty much uncontrollably until it crashes.
