Designers on the verge of elimination are given the chance to team up and merge their concepts as only seven can advance to Wilson Labs, where they'll work alongside the company's engineers. It's a challenge of their confidence and their ability to work on the fly and, in the process, some designers make choices that lead to harsh outcomes.

Yeah I'm with you, don't see the point of the episode other than to pair 2 teams together, was there any other development in the other products? Why not give them all a week with Wilson engineers then judge on the updates

I have the best design for an adjustable driver with so many ways of helping every golfer and fitting capabilities. Although none of it is visible either on top or bottom of driver. If anyone's really serious about making the most individual driver with a level of ajustibility unlike no other. Try me.

Enjoying the show but can't really see a lot of these ideas winning, it's all marketing for Wilson and not much more. Look at their current range of drivers, there's nothing new at all. Other than moveable weights, adjustable hosel and maybe jailbreak tech, what innovation has there been in Driver tech over the last 5 or 10 years?

Maybe not over last 5-6 years. Last big change was the Taylor Made SLDR although that went a little too far in terms of reducing spin. But last year I switched from my 20yr old Yonex to the Epic and the difference was huge. My gut feel is that the next change could be use of different materials, possibly ceramics although I believe there are some patent issues around that

The biggest improvement could come from shaft tech, not head. They’re on about increasing club head speed after all

5wisher 5weet one designed with what looked like wax crayon drawings ! Terrible. Apart from Rick (who really should be credited as a pga pro) the show is trash. Watchable trash tv, and I’ll definitely watch the rest of this crap ! lol
