Agreed. Craig was dreadful. Skyfall was his only truly great film but imagine if Brosnan had been Bond in that. No need for a silly Moneypenny origin story, and Brosnan cradling Dench’s M, particularly after that first meeting in GoldenEye, would have been genuinely poignant.

Exactly, Look I loved Daniel Craig in the role as well, but the difference is that Craig literally admitted that “he was done with the role” and wanted to “move on from it”(just check his interviews post Skyfall release), this leads presume that even though he was excellent as Bond, he wasn’t AS passionate as Pierce was when playing the role….even though this is marginal, let’s be honest, Pierce was literally natural at the role throughout (and even wanted to do more movies before the morons at the studio decided to recruit another actor!) . And let’s not forget the mid to late 90s when NONE of us had smartphones and some of us had AOL, we ALL played Goldeneye on N64… taking account of all these factors , I conclude that Pierce was and still is the best James Bond as he had a significant influence in our adolescent development and strong imprint in our minds as a result.

Agree! I know people like Craig, and I do too but his films don’t have the same kind of rewatchability that Pierce Brosnan’s do. He’s a cooler Bond, and his films far more entertaining. He should’ve been given at least one last film as he was originally told.

Sorry to say but Pierce Brosnan, after Roger Moore, is the second worst Bond ever. He was too smooth, too slick. Everything in his portrayal was too much. He tried to mix the Connery and Moore Bonds but hopelessly failed. He lacks that natural rough edge 007 needs to have. In that aspect he doesn’t even come close to Sean Connery and Daniel Craig, the best Bonds by a landslide.
