It's interesting how up here in Sydney all our level crossings were removed by moving the road, but in Melbourne it's usually done by moving the railway!

Still lots of level crossings on this line, but it's good to see them gradually being removed. It's interesting to see how each one is done, whether below or above the line, as well as the new stations.

When I was a teen, my mates and I would train to Chelt and then make the boring walk up the road to Southland to see the movies there… we would have LOVED that Southland station back in the 90s

@@knightman1970 it was opened around 6 or so years ago. For many years before that there were calls for the station to be built. 👍😄

It's a busy line. The triple track from Caulfield to Moorabbin allows express trains to overtake the stopping service. Very happy you enjoy the videos. 👍😀

Unfortunately, on my train journey to Glen Huntly, this morning, I noticed the concrete walls in the rail trench towards the Nerrim Rd bridge,sporting a large collection of mindless graffiti 😩

We do get to see a lot more now you are further out of the city. Even so, the train is part WW2 submarine. DIVE, DIVE, DIVE! (ah-oo-gah, ah-oo-gah) 😁
