Watching trains in India it seems like mayhem with millions of passengers but I guess everything is running like clockwork behind the scenes. Train driver discipline is critical on any railway?

Train drivers, signalman, all staff are critical. Especially in a place like India with so many services. 👍😀

Why is dividing and attaching not allowed on p15 but is on p16? Is it related to not having a main running line immediately next to it?

Correct. If something goes wrong, it is to dangerous to hop down on the tracks on platform 15. 👍😀

Had a terrific 65th birthday on the 4th and hats off to all V/line staff who get us to our destinations 👍,a added bonus on the day,l was able to catch the train from Warnambool at Geelong,the N-class city of Warragul only stopped at Footscray on the journey to Southern Cross station ,1st time in 8 years,been on a loco pulled passenger train,everything else has been velocities,let the platform clear and took some photos of the city.of Warragul 🚆
