I own a 2017 Nissan Murano SL. I adore my car. I thought I would keep my car for another 10 years or so, since I'm approaching retirement in that many years. I was sent an offer in the mail, of course sales in the US are hurting due to the economy, so any dealer will be willing to make a deal, right? Now, I'm thinking with no payments for the next 120 days. 0 % interest and lower car payments, that I may be seriously considering an upgrade. This SUV is gorgeous. I don't think I could be swayed, even with an offer like this, to want any other vehicle. This steering wheel feels perfect on my SUV now, so I'm not sure why the complaint on a 2020 model. But it's dependable, handles extremely well, and it's classy. I love it! Pretty sure I will be car shopping in the next 30 days - but only for another Murano!

I have a 2016 Murano Platinum AWD, and the SUV is AWESOME!! Went to the local dealership to compare the differences between my 2016 and the new 2020, and there wasn't much of a difference at all. Perhaps the 2021 or 2022 model will bring about some major changes, and he is correct, the price is HIGH for the Platinum AWD model, but it is definitely a solid and well made vehicle, and the gas mileage is GREAT!!

Nissan Murano - My own story in one paragraph. Absolutely loved this car , bought new in 2012. Regular maintenance, oil changes, transmission oil changed every 80 000 km New spark plugs at 170 000 Essentially zero problems until about 180 000 km At that point front suspension failed. So did the back calipers 190 000 - catalytic converter failure About $5000 in bills in 2019 alone. Sold it with 200KM on odometer for $6K Bought new Rav4H Bottom line: don’t keep Nissan cars past 170-180 Km. (About 110 000 miles) if you like your money.

Rented a Durango for 2 weeks. drove 14 hours the first day. immediately took it back for something else due to my wife and i having sore backs from the seating after the long ride, recieved a new tucson. Took this back as well and got a Murano SV, we're both definitely impressed so far with the seating,fuel economy, and overall ride of the vehicle.

After owning a 2018 SV FWD (destroyed when I was rear-ended and more later), and a new 2019 SL AWD, I can say that most of what he's saying is fairly accurate. The 2018 was responsive, but the SV trim was a bit lacking. The difference between trims is absolutely amazing with the comfort going to to the SL by far. The accent lighting is a nice touch, but the seat comfort is the big difference. The SV trim had standard wheels with nice and thick tires, adding to an overall comfortable ride while the larger wheels with lower profile tires being a bit rougher but more responsive in handling. The infotainment and other controls are just enough to be not overwhelming but not underwheming either. It's enough to keep my CarPlay going, with Sirius basic to keep me entertained on many 6 hour drives. I can say that the range isn't as long as I had hoped with around 450-475 miles per tank at 80 mph on an interstate, but it's better than a 2017 Ford Fusion with a range of about 350 miles with a underpowered 4 cylinder engine. Now to the safety of the Muranos. I was rear-ended at 30 while the truck that hit me was going 50+. The collision shattered the back window, crushed the liftgate, destroyed the passenger quarter panel and pushed me into another car, tearing up the front bumper and front quarter panel. After serious damage to the frame and the drivetrain, not one drop of fluid from the gas tank or anything else was released. I sustained whiplash and concussion due to the violence of the collision, but the vehicle absorbed a lot of the kinetic energy and I was able to move the car to the shoulder. I stand by this vehicle and would have given it a 93, even after nitpicking the steering wheel (which feels just right and not too thick). I plan to drive my 2019 into the ground in about 10 years. I hope at that point, self-driving vehicles will be prolific so I can not get rear-ended by a moron again.

I kinda beg to differ somewhat on the steering feel. I do agree that in a parking lot or tight area , the steering does seem to get a little bit stiff and bulky. However when you're out on the road and maneuvering in traffic it tends to be alot more manageable.

@latitahill4 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about resale value as far as selling directly to someone, but the trade in value is usually pretty good, at least in my experiences with Nissan. I trade about every 2-4 years and always get Kelly Blue Book trade value...you just have to be demanding, but realistic about the true value of your vehicle.

I have a murano 2015 and i really like(d) it. I have 100k miles on it but the sad part is that the transmission started to twitch, flutter at 60k and at 100k it blew its transmission. newreplacement tx costs 5k. not worth it at that price. So it plan to keep the car for less than 50k buy it but if you want a car for life or 10 yrs this will not last.

The Nissan Murano is one of the ugliest SUVs out there. It looks like a child’s toy.
