Just bought a 1994 Chevy Kodiak rollback with a manual transmission that has this parking brake system. I wrenched on big trucks and buses for several years but never heard of this before. Will have to investigate. Thanks for the info👍🤟

Thank you for making this video. I have an old Ford P-350 (new to me) with this type of brake and I just wanted to know how to operate it and how it works. Thanks.

Thanks for posting this! When you say it “locks” in place, is there a physical locking mechanism or is it just held up pulled by the tension? I have a very similar lever on my P30 motorhome and there’s no secondary locking mechanism (like a button on a car’s parking brake lever) which is a little scary. I worry I might bump this while working under the dash or getting in and out. But they must be pretty reliable otherwise they wouldn’t be on all those trucks/MHs right?

Who has a replacement for that brake light switch? Mine is shot as well and I would like to replace it with something easy to maintain. Thanks

I have a snap on p40 truck converted into an ice cream 🍨 truck and I'm having problems finding the right part number for the driveshaft brake part or number

Looks like there is an allen key that needs to be removed to rotate the brake lever.
