@@VirtousStoic Pretty sure James has already done the car ownership tour already, but he hasn't got that many as he lives in London and hasn't got the space. He sold his Ferrari... has a Tesla and a hydrogen car, but he drives a Fiat Punto. The other two live in the country on big estates, so they have room for big barns.

I was a kid in the US in the late 1960’s. My friends mom bought a Triumph in the 1960’s. I loved how fun and sporty it was. She was a prematurely gray lady and it seemed like a midlife crisis, but, she had fun and took us for rides in it with the top down. We lived in the Northeast US and summers were not long, but it was a great car.

Honestly my favourite car there is the old peugeot. I feel everyones got a mustang or MG or something in a barn. That peugeot is the most unique thing in there!

In 1972, my mum and dad drove an MGBGT from Toronto Ontario Canada to Vancouver BC. They documented the entire journey in an amazing journal, and lots of photos. Seeing that car, makes me want to track down the original car they drove and buy it back for my dad (who is now 82!)

I once caught the train from Vancouver to Toronto. It definitely was an incredible journey with lots of photos. One day I think I might go and track down that exact train so I can buy it back for myself....

Yes I'd imagine as brilliant as his Co part's are they would no doubt be unbearable in real life. Where as Richard would probably just pick his nose too much or other equally minor unpleasentrys.

Hammond definitely seems the most down to earth and friendly of the three. May would be fine if you happen to be into the niche topic he’s interested in but otherwise seems a bit preachy. Clarkson has a bit of a grumpy side.

The MGBGT is a great touring car. I drove one from Florida to Vermont for someone who had bought it there but didn't have the time to drive it back himself. Very comfortable with lots of luggage room. As it was verrry used, we had lots of trouble (tires, muffler, voltage regulator), but we had a terrific time in a wonderful sports car.

I want to also say that I often see MG enthusiasts running their cars down Highway 95 in Nevada. I see other groups once in a while, but the MG crowd have regular 5-10 driver convoys tearing up the Mid-West desert highways... Very very cool little cars. Unbelievably cool.

We met when you were recording TG in the Isle of Man about twenty years ago. Two bikes you we're enthusiastic about then were the GSXR and the Sportster (which you thought was a bit of a bargain at the time). Glad you've not lost a drop of your enthusiasm. :-)

My brother had one, formerly owned by Neil Peart the drummer from Rush, he commuted on it into Toronto, it was, ahem, not the most comfortable thing, I had no idea how exotic or desireable that bike was at the time.

Coming from classic car background to JDM and back again, I absolutely love the MG B GT. We've always had MGs in the family and they are honestly one of the best handling little cars. My dad had and MG A and then a very special MG B from the Paris motor show. He later sold this and went on to own 2 MG C's that he restored over a 10 year period. After selling the last one in 2020 I'm feeling the itch to get a B myself.

The cars are amazing. The collection astounding, but the presentation style - is simply put - superb. Nobody does it better. Interesting, whimsical, informative and exceptionally entertaining. Mr. Hammond is unparalleled. He displays all of the qualities of a May presentation without the not-too-subtly hidden curled lip. Capturing the authoritative, take it to the bank factuality of a Clarke pontification without the pontificating. Please do this forever, Mr. May.

Honestly, Richard Hammond and Chris Harris are my two favorite car journalists \ presenters. Their energy is the same. Pure passion for motoring, old and new, with the ability to convey it to the audience. I would love to see Harris and Hammond do something together

As common as the MGB GT is, I own 2, it still manages to bring a smile to people's faces when they see it, the one that actually works anyway. It's quite loud, not very efficient and not all that quick but it's so much fun to throw around a corner feeling like you're doing 100 when you're actually doing 40

The GSXR deserves its own 'cocoon'. I owned a 91 model 1100, the 1127cc oil cooled models were brilliant, slightly more polished than the earlier slab/plank side models and super reliable. Mine had over 100,000kms on it when I sold it. It was and always will be my favourite motorcycle.

The "boat tail", for about 40 years I have always wanted to take one and cut 14 to 18" out of the hood/ front end length. I think this would make the car look more like the "Pony" car i think it was meant to be. Just a thought. Thanks for the tour!!

You’re going to LOVE vintage racing. My friend and I have been racing his late father’s 1974 Fiat 124 Spider here in the states. We’ve been racing a 1990 Nissan 240SX since we were 16. Now we’re in our late 30’s, we’ve switched to the Fiat and we’re not looking back.

That Land rover series one could be reused as a Tow vehicle for the cars and the Peugeot Van could be a parts Van and for racing there perfect support vehicles and the land rover has plenty spares for the task

My buddy has a series 1. His is a throwback from when he used to off road rally. To this day he drives it like he stole it, it gets washed when it rains. And it still smells of poo because he crashed into a stables horse poo heap years ago, rebuilt the front end and put it back on the road.

Glad to see you kept the boat tail Riv! You need to do something about that hideous paint color and the blower doesn't belong sticking out of the hood of a classy car like a Riv.

It'll be a great day to see The Smallest Cog on the grid of the Goodwood Revival. But lets just hope Richard stays off the track! The MG race last year was fantastic. Had me browsing classifieds mid-way through the race.

I had a teal blue MGB GT and had to check the reg in Richards car as my heart skipped a beat. Mine will have been scrapped now
