Excellent video on basic installation, nice clean and simple. Now, i know youre a builder not videographer.. but plz shorten or speed up cutting and drilling portions. Seems half the video is a power tool demonstration lol

How many total hours did it take you to do this? Awesome job and I love the way you did the adjustable sliding plates. Genius work. :)
@ironore1866 Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure of the total hours of work. There was collecting parts and time just bringing the tools in and out. I believe the time to put the gate opener in with the conduit was over a period of 3 days. Didn't really keep track of the hours actually working on it. Thank you for watching

Nice work, I'm glad my driveway is made out of gravel and I'm planning a wood gate so most of the pain point will not be there for me. I would suggest extending the bottom of the gate for a stop, but my wife mangled my manual gate stop with the mower. She says she raised it all the way up but I think mostly she doesn't like them :) Since we have a slope I think I can cut in a path for the extension to slide into a stop such that it won't stick out.

Hello I have the same gate Good video but you didn’t show the wiring process. Did you run 110v or 220v ? If 110v what leg of the transformer did you land the power (+) on the left or right leg?

Hi Jerad, I used 110 and put the black on the left.

The bracket on the gate should be slightly lower than the bracket on the post to prevent water ingress into the gate ram.

Had not considered that. Thank you for the tip.

Great work - I have similar issues but I thought instruction manuals say you shouldn't allow operator to extend to its mechanical limit? Has this cause any problems ..yet..? response appreciated
@ironore18666 ай бұрын
Yeah the manufacturer says not to extend them to their limit. I have been using them for a couple years like that no problems (except unrelated lightning strike killed the board) Without using them that way I couldn't have used that system.
@gezza32386 ай бұрын
Thanks response - pleasant surprise - is yours the same such that if you unpin from gate the arm just goes into a nonstop SPIN at full arm extension? if so does your motor stop on full extension because the attaching of the arm to the gate stops this spinning motion?? ... Oh perhaps yours is some hydraulic rather than worm drive - though probably wrong terms, but hope understand (i have two chrome pistons wheras you only have one) ? @@ironore1866

Hi. Great job, thank you for sharing your experience doing it. I do have one question: it appears that you installed the gate operators and the electrical control boxes, all facing the street, instead of on your property side. Did I see and interpret this wrong ? Please let me know the reason if you did this street side. Great job on the video shooting also. Thank you.
@ironore18662 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. The control box is inside the gate. The gate operators are on the outside of the gate. The drive way is on an incline. With the incline this is the most optimal way to put them to get access to the most space when the gate is open. I guess they could be put the other way with some intrusion into the entrance space.
@holeshot4062 жыл бұрын
Hi. Ok that now makes sense, the reasoning. We have a corner lot acreage, and love that we have driveways on those corners. We can take the motorhome and drive in-then drive right out in the same direction……never need to turn around. The back driveway is on a pretty decent incline also, so we may consider doing the same thing that you did. I don’t like the idea of the operators being street side, but for the 4-6 times a year we use the back driveway, it may end up with me as the operator, and we concentrate putting an operator at the front that we use all the time. Again, appreciate you sharing your experience with this project, will help me with ours. Thank you
