Fantastic video.. But a quick tip from a mechanic here.. When going for these long trips its also good to carry a bottle of engine oil.. Some spare brake pads coz they tend to wear out.. And a bottle of engine coolant... Thank me later

This video is nostalgic for me, just not the driving part haha. Back in 2017 while I was still in Kenya, I used to take road trips to Kampala, Mbarara all the way to Kigali. A little of katogo for breakfast, a lot of luwombo for lunch and plenty of nice gnut sauce with rice and beef for dinner kept me going back as everyone was trooping to Mombasa for holidays. Thanks for taking us along. Hoping to continue next year when back to sample more delicacies further south into Zambia and Namibia. From my experience, no country in East Africa beats Uganda when it comes to food. It truly holds the title of food basket of East Africa. Keep sharing the road trips when you can.

Good journey, good story. I have driven Nairobi - kampala a number of times and every trip is a new experience. You did well to prepare for the journey perharps you missed in planning for the route as you missed the junction to Kisumu, that is shorter than malaba to kampala. But now you know the road better. Good stuff
