Driving a 570HP S85 V10 swapped E92 M3 with an 8700RPM rev limit! The German Dodge Viper

The S85 V10 is the greatest sounding engine BMW M have ever produced, making a 5 door saloon sound like an Italian supercar.
The 5 door saloon bit did always leave a little to be desired when it came to driving dynamics, we couldn't help but wonder how good that engine would have been in a more nimble sports car chassis.
Captain Gaskrank and Speedtec wondered the same, so decided to build it! But that wasn't enough, the S85 V10 was rebuilt with higher compression, and an 8700 RPM rev limit meaning it now produces 570HP!
Could this be Germany's answer to the Dodge Viper? Imran is lucky enough to get behind the wheel and find out for himself.

with swaps like these you need a full chassis to have an easy swap, most people will buy a crashed car with a good drivetrain that way you get the ECU, dash cluster, CAS and any other modules you need for OEM like user experience.

This car is mental! I agree that the V10 is the best sounding BMW engine ever. The only engine that comes close is the S65 and after that the S54. I would much rather have a DCT, however. I have DCT on my M2C and I love it. Maybe this manual is better than the Getrag 420G that I had in my E46 M3 6MT (which shifted like a truck, even with an AutoSolutions shifter), but it could be that the DCT has just ruined manuals for me. Not only is DCT faster in every way, but IMO, it's MUCH more fun.

We’re typically DCT through and through, but you can see on camera Imran start to question that with this. A good manual is hard to beat, just BMW tends to not have that good of a manual 🤫

It maintains most of the E9x M3 suspension, subframes etc but yes you could start with any E9x if you really wished.

That reminds me, an extra 70 hp just from a (presumably slight) CR raise and a tune? But I assume it doesn't have any cats? (which of course would help hp).
