The turning radius gets much better if you turn the wheel to full lock, give a few thousand RPMs, and dump the clutch...180s on a dime.

Not buying it... the look and feel of the interior adds so much to a car, after all, you have to look at it all the fucking time. I am not saying they have to go full Aston Martin, but at least SOME effort... it is simply not a complete car. Just a big engine is not enough and the US auto industry as a whole has still not understood that, which is why nobody wants to buy their crap outside the US. So after your little joke has worn off, that is like after 7 seconds, it is not so great anymore.

I was in high school during the muscle era . Friends had Roadrunners and Dusters .Besides the ugly bodies and paint , the cars drove terrible and the doors almost rattled off right out of the showroom . Friend's Duster Demon was ugly orange with a black roof and a 340 cu , 4 speed with a hideous bench seat . Car weighed about 500 pounds and was scary fast , but you could feel in every bump what a piece of crap it was . Another guy had a 2 door roadrunner .The doors were about 6 feet long and bent the hinges just opening them . Kermit the frog green , with a little roadrunner perched in the back window and a huge air foil over the trunk area . Who cares about interior when your car looks like that ? They were built to go a quarter mile . At night on a country road .In 1973 it all changed from talking elapsed time to talking about fuel mileage . Then America built it's worst garbage ever trying to catch up to the Japanese , Vegas and Pintos . You want crappy cars ? Look no further . Built millions and none still on the road .

I worked at a Dodge dealership when this car was first released. The owner was the first one to drive it off the lot. He pulled out onto the trafficway and spun a 180. He said "NOPE, no one drives this car unless they put money down to buy it! It has too much power!" LOL I remember getting to hear it reving a few times, but thats it. The owner and the service manager were the only ones who ever got to even move this car around the lot.

Mr.R I recommend picking up some cheap manual nikon lenses to improve your filming. The Type E nikon 50mm 1.8 is a great place to start. Manual focusing like butter, beautiful bokeh. Quickly use manual aperture ring to adjust lighting, also dedicate the small button below the flash button to ISO adjustment. Just a few friendly suggestions.

you know looking back at this thing, I'm surprised some of these viper owners havent been retrofitting the latter doors to the earlier cars, like take a 92 to 95, and fit the 96 doors to them so they can have normal door locks and windows on them, even if it means converting them to roll ups.

I almost bought one just like that. I opened the door and tried to get in, that is as far as I got. Low and behold when I was getting in truck to leave I saw black two door Dodge Pickup hiding in the wash bay. I walked over to take a look and it said RAM SRT-!) on the side of it and I asked if it was for sale an the dealer said it was just brought in as a consignment and was asking 28,000.00 for it, it had 11,000 miles on it so we climbed in and what a ride. I left and came back 2 hrs later with 27,000.00 and it is still in my possession. It is a beast and handles well.

Geez.... get some mufflers for that thing. Old Vipers were not that noisy/rumbly when they were new (I used to be a car porter at a Dodge Dealership and there were 3 test cars that would get regular maintenance there. Those 3 test cars were governed to 60mph, btw.) umm... how hard is it to get a power steering cap, anyways? Thats a carvan key... A K car key... A Ram key.... a Dodge Daytona key..... etc, etc....

Remember when Doug owned a Viper for like two weeks because he was afraid to drive it? I would be too.

Weird that it has vinyl zippered windows like a Jeep. First time I've ever seen that on a Viper. I always thought they had regular glass windows.
