@vinrusso8217 жыл бұрын
The older Vipers yes, but this version is so much smoother, . Look at some of his turns, he knows when to use two hands and which not. He knows this track like the back of his hand. Everything went against them. Rained the whole time until the lap. They had to go out on a green track, right after a rain with no rubber put down yet.No time with the car. He will knock a few seconds of that.
@eaglefat93987 жыл бұрын
No, neurologically speaking a person is WAY smoother with just one hand on the wheel, this two hands on the wheel thing comes from when cars didn't have power steering, so a person needed both arms to control the steering wheel. Its much easier to use your arms independently from each other then try to make both arms do the same thing smoothly due to the fact human arms are not equal in strength so the brain has to compensate to replicate the motion that the other arm is doing and when you factor in that human arms do not have 1/10 the fine motor control as say your fingers its almost cretin that one arm is not perfectly synced up with the other one thus making steering corrections jerky or less smooth.
@AndrewMalkin7 жыл бұрын
Frank Leary, from my own experience and what I've learned from other racers is that two hands on the wheel is definitely smoother. When you have both hands on the wheel they shouldn't necessarily be doing exactly the same thing. Often one hand is pulling the opposite direction as the other (just a little bit) to make your turn more gradual and less jerky. Also, with two hands you are less likely to be disturbed by bumps and g-forces. I have instructed a fair amount and I have never seen anyone be smoother with one hand than with two.

just think of the huracan performante, NA V10 similar weight and viper is more powerful. If only they offered a limited ED with a DCT lol...but this car can come close to the lambo especially if they use the same tires and the viper driver gets a bit more time on the ring.
@vinrusso8217 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? Viper is UNDERPOWERED and has a top speed of 177 MPH because of the massive wing. Not to mention automatic. One is over a million dollars, one is 120,000 dollars. I is a manual, with front engine rear wheel drive. Ford GT is the so called big money American car, and it won Le Man first time. Corvette won Le Mans 6 times. Lambo......Hmm?
@AQCE2457 жыл бұрын
vin russo Porsche won Lemans 100 times what's your point
@mino71227 жыл бұрын
vin russo the lambo costs 300k $ not one million 🙈 and i don't get your point with le mans either... the overall mid engine awd concept of the lambo is faster than the viper that's fact because of physics

I don't know what to think of this Viper's run. The driver didn't always use both hands on the wheel and this shows the stability of the car. It's such a fast car around the track that I am blown away. I've always loved the Viper and this is another reason why.

@vinrusso8217 жыл бұрын
He uses one hand on left hand turns and both on right turns. Whatever works. I could see how that could be faster to shift. Understeer off those corners were taking some time, I timed where he gained and lost compared to other cars. The first and fastest part of the track he's just a couple seconds up on Gen 2 Viper, but the second twisting part it gained 8 seconds. Thats why it has broken so many records by huge margins on slow tracks. It's braking and cornering are spot on. Top speed is sacrificed for down force.

Betsy, my wife would agree with you. She is always nervous when we race at night here at home down I-696 and I-94, mainly because of tickets. Here sister on the other hand yells, "Faster, Faster!!!" You haven't lived until you have ENTERED the interstate from an on ramp at 140 MPH plus and you have plenty left and she is begging for you to go deeper and harder, on the throttle. My wife doesn't like hearing about it at all. Wish we had the '17 ours is just and old '08.

That was sooo bad ass I had to watch it twice!!!!!!!!!Wow it takes a true driver to tame the viper and he did so!!!! Great Lap!!! One of the best at the ring I’ve seen in a while as in “a true drive” man synced up with machine to create a great opportunity and he cashed in on a Bomb Lap!!!!! I wish I had Grand Turismo because I’d be trying to beat his lap all week probably!!!!!!!!!

@nico2006t7 жыл бұрын
if you guys are asking why he is doing 275kmh in the long straight with 650hp when I did 302kmh with 530hp , the reason is because the car has " a lot " of downforce if you prefer. I did not say it like I knew what downforce they should use

7:01.3 is the official time. Not under 7 min but still very good for a bone stock car, the other manufacturers use modified hyper car to get under 7 min. I am satisfied with that result. The only thing stopping this beast from going under 7min is better tires, more money and time (support from Dodge would be nice too).

Da,Taper this ACR didnt crash it was a another car they brought. They had 2 of the same exact specs but it was the 1st car that wrecked i believe. Still cant believe an ACR was lost due to tire failure.
@thert.hon.thelordnicholson72614 жыл бұрын
Oh look, another one :D There ARE NO HYPERCARS in the list above the Viper ACR. They are either production sports cars or production supercars - so exactly the same category as the Vipers. As for modifications, that's exactly what the ACR is no? It's a highly modified Viper, you absolute joker. Any manufacturer running a lap is going to strip out some weight, maybe add an aero package, which is exactly what the ACR is. Please base your statements on fact and not blindly-patriotic hyperbole.
@onefastslimjim4 жыл бұрын
@@thert.hon.thelordnicholson7261 this laptime was a fanclub effort. No weight stripped, and the aero package comes factory with the ACR package. Your point?

I worry about the weight of the roll bar they are putting in. It's good for safety obviously, but it also weighs 68 pounds. Dominick is not a small driver either, I guess with the bar he can go more balls to the walls without killing himself.
