You mean the inefficiencies of some shippers . Everyone who has ever gone to certain beer companies can relate to this video . Now days with more and more companies charging Hefty hourly amounts for delay it’s becoming less of a problem . My company you would have been paid 60 dollars for a live load or unload plus 22 an hour to wait . So we don’t wait around much they are motivated to get us loaded .

You might be wanting to start calling the shipper in advance and write down directions. The GPS has no clue where you need to go to get loaded. I have been driving for 28 years and I still have to do this for places I have never been to before. Always collect as much information as possible. Sooner or later you will find yourself in a place where you will have no choice but to back up for potentially a mile or more. I have done this before, not even a little bit fun. But that will make for some good content. :) Also, I enjoy your videos. Your personality is quirky, and you make me laugh. Keep up the good work!

19:00: Can't you slide your tandems another notch, or are you already in the Idaho hole (39'6")? FWIW, if you are 60 lbs over gross, that's only about 8 gallons of diesel, and you'll burn that off in about 60 miles. Where is the closest open scalehouse? I'd slide it and go....

Those beer places suck. I had a similar experience at one in GA. They take forever to get you in, forever to load you, you have to strap your own load, then there is a long ass slow moving line getting out, and then to top it off I'm over weight, gotta go back to a door and get the load reworked. You think they would know how much beer they can legally fit in a trailer...

Hey Alex, question, I’ve read that moving the trailer tires back and forth reduces or adds weight (250lbs per pin hole) to and from the drive axles or the trailer. Is that true? And would you have been able to move it back to the trailer? Then remove some fuel to get your gross weight down. 7lbs per gallon by the way while water is nearly 8.5lbs.

17:10 you said in the beginning this yard required you to pick up the load with a full tank of gas. So if your overweight following their rules what are you supposed to do. Man, I went through the same thing at A-B 35 years ago. It was a clusterfuck then, and it still is. Just pray you never have to go to their plant in Newark, NJ... BTW, stop relying on "4-wheeler GPS"; you'll end up on some road you weren't supposed to be on, and you'll end up having to back up a full mile to get out. I used to get on a lot of roads like that back then, but I was driving a 48" trailer and a cabover. Don't be afraid to ask for specific directions from your dispatcher. Back then, I had no phone, just a map.

Just a suggestion… Never… ever… go to Anheuser-Busch (or any water bottling plant) with your fuel tanks full. If you know you’re going there, try and go with your fuel on or around 1/2 full… that’ll insure that situation won’t happen again.🤔
