This is the car Al Moss purchased in 1948. He owned it for 64 years. When Al put the car up for sale, shortly before his passing in 2012, Moss Motors acquired the car. We've just rebuilt the engine, so a few "break-in" miles were in order.

What a life ! You go up this perfect-for-sports-cars road in the morning, spend all day at Moss Motors, then drive down the same road in the evening. Fantastic !

Thanks for this! It gives me inspiration while I'm restoring my B. I've driven an A, but have never had the privilege of driving a T. This is the next best thing to actually doing it!

Thanks for bringing back a lot of great memories. Al was a good friend and I've followed that TC with him at the wheel many times. I clearly remember the feeling of terror followed by thinking "I cheated death once again" every time I crossed the 101 to access the San Marcos pass...

Love this video. Single circuit 4 wheel drum brakes, steep mountain grades, who needs a 200mph Ferrari to live dangerously!

This is a car that benefits from correct shifting. Nice to hear it being driven by someone who knows that "downshifting" is more than just declutching and moving the stick.

The whine you hear is from the Shorrock supercharger. It's not a Moss box, but the gear change is slow enough to warrant double clutching. Sorry for the poor sound quality.

I have a TC and was really impressed with this video. I believe that car has a modern Moss Magna supercharger. What is the final drive ratio? RPMs seemed low for speedometer readings. I'll have to post some Footage of my car some day soon. Thanks for the post.

I gotta say, driving a RHD car on the left hand side of the road looks, well just wrong. We drive on the right hand side here in Australia just like they do in England. Thanks for the Video.

Great video. At times it seems you are pulling something to your left... Out of camera. Where a handbrake would be on a modern car?

I rebuilt my TC engine last year. I have to say that Moss lost me as a customer when they charged me $50 for handling and posting a 6"X 6" X 6" box with less than $100 worth of parts in it. Other Canadians feel the same. Just saying.

+Rob Mackenzie Been burned by the low quality of Moss parts the last few years. Trying to keep a T Type running and on the road is challenge enough without having to deal with parts quality so poor the parts fail the day they are installed. In other cases the poor quality was noted coming out of the box and the parts were immediately returned. Moss is well aware of the situation and is supposedly working on it. They still have a ways to go...

Does that thing have an suspension at all? Looks and sounds like it drives like a farm tractor. I'd be embarrassed to take a passenger along.

It looks like it is incredibly slow, cramped, unresponsive, and mightily uncomfortable to drive.

Those are the comforts of driving a small classic car such as this one, remember people back then were much skinnier and much smaller in comparison to people now, and also from personal experience, it’s a fun car to drive but you have to learn it, what it likes, dislikes and how to deal with steering inaccuracies by countering for over or under steer which with this car is a very much possible thing, it’s small but it’s a wonder to drive especially when it’s upgraded to a higher amount of horsepower.

Wonderful drive, I felt like I was right there with you. That MGTC is very quick. Made me wonder how a XPAG engine could run so strong. Now I understand that it was supercharged. My 1951 MGTD could not have kept up with you mostly because my suspension is very tired and my 1954 MGTF could not have kept up either, it's engine and suspension are fine but I would have fallen back owing to a very tired gearbox. In any event you have a fantastic road to drive to work each day. I had no idea that Moss was located at such a lovely address. Incidentally, I have been ordering from Moss since 1969 when I got my first MGTD MKII. I was only 15 years old back then but I spent $800 that year with Moss rebuilding my engine including a new crankshaft. $800 was a lot of money in 1969. Guy in Columbia Mississippi
