Man, this video brought such good memories of the time I lived in Austin, TX in 1985 and 1986 - thanks for this video. I used to drive around those places. Well, there are lots of those 3-4-5 deck intersections which there were not those long ago times. I went elsewhere in the world and never had the time to get back to the US. Now I just did. Thanks for the good time I had watching it. Greetings from Central Brazil.

I STILL love Austin, it's just too big for me now, plus too many bittersweet memories; but I'll still go to visit.

I was here in this city about 2 months ago, and I did a little time lapse driving myself right on the same Mo-Pac.

you didn't have to get off 183 to get onto MoPac. there's a ramp that takes you from 183 and merges onto MoPac. i can't remember what exit it is, but its somewhere right after that IRS building where that plane crashed into.

Well even though Austin is the best boom town right now it seems surprisingly boring to look at in this way. I could barely hold my attention. Still weather, natural scenery, prximity to Arizona, Vegas, Houston and LA gives it a major edge. Still after this I cant bring myself to say o.k. its worth the move. There must be something key missing.

Never realized Austin was this hilly. When I was in Houston I couldn't get over how flat it was. I sort of assumed most of Texas was like that.

Isaac Fox: Yes, the state of Texas is as large as some European countries, and like many countries, there are varied landscapes and geography within Texas. Houston is located at the bottom end of the East Texas Piney Woods and at the northern beginning of the Coastal Plains. Austin sits at the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country. And our taller mountains and plateaus are all located in the far west desert region.

Dang, this is making me dizzy, video way to fast. I lived in Austin from '84 through '93 and it was a beautiful wonderful city in the day, but, now, hell no, that city has changed and not for the best. 99% of all the people that made that city their home at that time have left pledging never to go back and the same holds true for me, nope, never, nunca, turned into another San Francisco -- trashy.
