For some reason the exhaust style you have is my favorite type. I love the single straight pipe coming out the back, it reminds me of a Supra or something. I did a similar thing on my shit box Corolla.

Thanks! It is decently quick and pretty fun in stock form. Of course depends on what you are used to or comparing it with. But it is a solid platform.

hell yeah. it definatly sounds cool. just slightly different. i cam across this because im very seriously considering the purchase of a 3v. found a few real clean ones that look like new with 40k on them. i have always have 4 cyl turbo cars but decided i want to try something new and an s197 looks like a good fit.

Its holding up great. Need to upgrade to a higher quality turbo eventually. And no I dont daily it and normally run around 7.5 psi.

Are you on all stock internals? I have a 2008 bullitt but im a little scared to hit the 500whp mark with stock internals.

I am stock internals. It made 512whp on about 10 psi. I normally only run about 7 psi to be safe. At that level it's around 450whp, which is pretty safe on these engines.

Maybe a little, I've since turned the boost down so I'm probably running about 450/450. When it made 512whp it was only 439wtq because of a leaking waste gate so it wasnt too dangerous, once I fixed the waste gate I could tell it was making more torque so I turned it down.

I have a couple questions for you if you wouldn't mind to answer them for me, I'd greatly appreciate it buddy!! As I currently almost have my buddy paid off for his 08 black Mustang Gt 4.6 3v, and of course I've always loved Turbo, but my uncle has a C4 that hes Supercharging and its gonna give it around 480+HP to his stock 350 5.7, so I definitely have to go Turbo now to beat him, and also wanna show him that it's more reliable than he thinks..!! BUTT in saying that, the car has 125,000 miles on it which ain't too bad for them motors I'm just a lil concerned about how it's been treated/maintenanced and I'm wondering do I neccesarily have to go with forged rods an pistons if I'm goin over 500+HP? If not should I atleast rebuild the motor before adding the Turbo you think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated man. Thanks, Max

Hey max, so you really never know exactly how the car has been treated and that is a decent amount of mileage. So personally I wouldn't push it much over 450whp unless you dont care if it blows eventually. Many people run with 500whp for a long time, but every motor is a little different so you really dont know. Everyone will tell you something different but if you wanna be on the safe side and not worry too much I'd stay under 450. If you're willing to go forged internals than you can go much higher.

I believe I'll need atleast 475-490+HP to beat him, thing is you really dont want over 450ftlbs of Torque is what a guy on KZbin from Brenspeed said, he also said they're good to hold a 500+HP, but the Torque is what he tunes to keep under 450, so round 430-435ish is bout right on that but Thanks again bud!
