We do, too. It is a nice drive! The colorful homes. The bright colored homes, white beach, and beautiful blue ocean are uplifting for us.

We have stayed in a house on one visit, and we found it on VRBO. Now, we stay in our RV each trip. My friends stay in the Pheonix complexes that are close to Gulf Shores. They have several large complexes on the beach. They like it, but that is all I know. Unfortunately, we have no reference to give. We are on a couple of FB pages for Gulf Shores. You may want to join a few of them. We learn a lot about GS from those pages. We love the white sand and beautiful water. Hope this helps a lil 🙃
