I would wager that is because more truck traffic uses SR 99 than I-5, since I-5 avoids the cities of the Central Valley ;-) edit Plus, a two-lane overpass is less expensive than a 3-lane overpass :-D

Hi! I’m planning on making the trip myself next month, I’m not from the US, and I’m kind of reluctant to doing it, I’ll have to take a rental to the test.. Do you suggest going by car or taking a bus? Is it an easy drive ?

@@juanse2208 going by car, definitely. Buses are mostly closed right now anyways, and I suggest you take highway 5 on the main part of the drive. There are a lot of good rest stops and restaurants, and it’s very hard to get lost since it’s just one straight road. I hope you have a fun time! I always love the drive

IM from chicago.& i used to live in la. On 22nd Normandy if thats how you spell it i geuss, right around the corner from the la raiders stadium, They called it the la colosseum .wow ,It is absolutely amazing how San Francisco looks so much different from Los Angeles. It's not very scenic but it is fast. CA-1 is very scenic and it's slow. US 101 is moderately scenic and quite fast. It is fun especially on a winter day to watch a car trip or train cab ride video.

USA has old, neglected, outdated and decaying infrastructure. E.U. countries, China, Japan, Australia all have nicer roadways. USA needs TRILLIONS to upgrade and rebuild its outdated infrastruture.

stop trying to make use look bad. I think infrastructures are fine and okay, but what is not okay, is THE FUCKING POLLUTION THAT WAS NOT THOUGHT OUT. THERE IS SO MUCH UNUSED PARKING SPACES BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN.
