I'm impressed you can do this whole cross-country drive without having snack food while you are driving, or listen to something on radio / device etc. Very relaxing this way though.

If you pause at 1:14:04, there was a big rock slide here that closed down the Interstate last month during the rains from Hurricane Hilary. Right in between those two yellow signs, a number of boulders the size of vehicles came down from the right side.

The start of what will surely be a fantastic road-trip on your great channel. Had a great time watching the first episode, the I-8 climbs nicely through the Coastal Mountain Range, before descending under sea level near Yuma. Thanks for sharing, greetings from a road-tripper from Germany!

At the border crossing by Yuma, there is a big parking lot - you walk through a turnstyle and wha-laa you are in Mexico - known as a huge center for dentistry - something like 300 of them within a 5 square mile area

Woohoo for Part 1 of the return trip! This has been a smooth drive, and I would not have known the Arizona and Mexico border are that close. 😲 Thank you for sharing this drive, AK! 🤗

I love ethat drive from SD to Yuma - especially once you cross over to going into the lower desert and the miles and miles of giant rock gravel - like God backed up a pickup and dumped loads of giant gravel over whole area. Plus when you descend into the lower desert - love that feeling.
@ActionKid Жыл бұрын
I had that feeling too, thanks for sharing your experiences

I live in Yuma and whenever I drive to San Diego, I prefer to get off the I-8 and take Old Highway 80 into SR94. It takes a little longer, but goes through some small towns with some great roadside stops.

Happy Wednesday evening to you AK from Orlando. Going to try to stay caught up with you on the trip back to Miami. I know quite a bit of the Eastern United States but out west is all new to me The farthest I've ever been on I-10 is New Orleans. This should be interesting

You come here to San Diego a lot. Wish I knew, I'd let you borrow my ebike to cruise around a bit since I can't use it much anymore because of an injury. Best of luck to you in your travels.
