Great videos ! Keep up the great work. I thoroughly enjoy driving videos, especially through the mountain states out west. The desert southwest is my happy place and my favorite state is Arizona. I live in Florida and so I enjoy seeing the hills and mountains. Someday I would like to get property in Tucson and spend summers there during hurricane season. The dry desert heat is what I prefer compared to stormy humid summers in Florida. The commentary is really good and helpful while enjoying the ride along.

Great video as always! We drove also on 2 sections of I-40 that you covered, from Needles to Kingman and from Seligman to Williams. Between Kingman and Seligman we took the Route 66, was an interesting ride too. We stayed also in Williams before visiting the Grand Canyon next day. Hey love your videos, very relaxing and inspiring. I'm planning a big trip from Miami to Massachusetts and was wondering what you would suggest if I was looking for a more scenic drive. Interstates? Highways? Neither? I've driven north out of Florida before and to me the sights are so dull, and maybe in certain places that's unavoidable, but I'd like to avoid dull whenever possible. Any suggestions?

I haven't watched it all yet - but... couldn't figure out WHY you would have driven back up to Williams and over on I-40 instead of just going straight through AZ oh I-10 since you were ultimately going to El Paso. Seems like a round-about way to get there :) Also... you missed the best part of the desert - the Sonoran Desert around Phoenix and Tucson with all the saguaro cactus - so great. Haven't ever driven the part from Lake Havasu to Williams though so maybe I a am missing out.

Rule 1 when filling up. Never go to the closest gas station by the intersterstate. Drive about 5-10 minutes away from the interstate. or a exit that has 4 or more gas stations.

Is there any speed limit on such roads? I'm from the eu and feel like you can go pretty fast there

It depends. Freeways usually have 70MPH limits while some have only 50 or 60 in some areas. You can even go 80 in some spots, just depends...

@@VGSEAS I mean in Italy we would go way beyond the speed limit anyway if we knew there were no controls 😅 130 to 150 km/h easily in a broad road like that.

@@Andybwc The problem with going beyond the speed limits where AK was driving, especially where he was driving in the last half of his video, is that there are a lot of deer and elk. Hitting one beyond 80 mph is often deadly to the driver. I wouldn't recommend it.

There are speed limits posted from time to time. I wouldn't want to go too fast though as you don't know what to expect!
