Who's excited for this road trip series?! So much adventure and awesomeness to come. If you're looking for those car rental codes for Easy Rent Cars, you can book here: bit.ly/2YkbCFj and use the code erc08 for 8% off any booking, if you're booking a rental over $300 use the code erc35 for $35 off the total price. 🏠 This is our Berat accommodation, great place: geni.us/0AmdH

Hey Russell , I totally get how you only heard negatives about Albania , but that's what the news always show : the negatives .... There's a lot of Albanians who emigrated to GB , the majority of which you never hear about cuz they just live their lives peacefully , in addition you also get the gangsters and uneducated people , who have given Albania the reputation it doesn't deserve to have . The warm welcome you have recieved in Albania is something of a tradition here dating from way back. Even during communism, when some people were so poor they barely had anything to eat, they still respected the guest and tried to offer him whatever they had. For the most part, this tradition has survived today too. Sadly, just like any other place, you can't hope for everyone to be good. However coming across a douchebag is very rare, so I hope you guys don't get unlucky and I hope you enjoy your stay. I might be a little biased, but I would like to say, there are a lot of beautiful places here. The alps of the north have breathtaking scenery, and the rocky beaches in the south are beautiful and refreshing. Sadly, because of a lack of investment for political reasons that I would not like to get into, the infrastructure is still lacking for a country which hopes to turn tourism into its main economic subject. Maybe the "virginity" of the beaches is somewhat attractive to some people, so there are some positives to it, but the situation must change. There are a lot of beautiful places which are unaccessible for tourists and that is a big shame. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed Albania, hopefully in the near future it will get even better.

09:00 Fruit with syrup is just jam. I thought jam was the same everywhere in the world, fruit with syrup. When it's homemade organic jam, Albanains like to serve just a little bit to guests, on a small plate, because it's way too sweet and you wouldn't be able to eat much. It's kind of an old tradition to serve homemade jam (never from supermarket jars). My grandma used to boil our garden fig fruits into jam. It was delicious.

Tourists here, have had their best time. Beautiful landscapes and very cheap but tasty food by Western standards. 😀👍

Great vlog guys hope you had an amazing journey 😃😃 P.S the city Berat is not called the city of 1001 windows but the " one over another one window "city, the confusion even amongs albanians(!) is due to the albanian pronunciation of nje mije nje(1001) over nje mbi nje (one over another one) 😅😂😂 albanians mix that up all the time.
