Downtown Boise is the cultural center and home to many small businesses and a few mid-rises. The area has a variety of shops and dining choices. Centrally, 8th Street contains a pedestrian zone with sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The neighborhood has many local restaurants, bars and boutiques and supports a vibrant nightlife. The area contains the Basque Block, which showcases Boise's Basque heritage. Downtown Boise's main attractions include the Idaho State Capitol, the classic Egyptian Theatre on the corner of Capitol Boulevard and Main Street, the Boise Art Museum on Capitol in front of Julia Davis Park, and Zoo Boise on the grounds of Julia Davis Park.

On any regular day that same drive takes well over an hour, Lol! Come and try and drive that same route from 7am to 9pm any weekday you'll think your back in Southern Cal. Nice flashback of what it was like 30 years ago, great video!

I bet that when you were driving around the streets of Boise you didn’t see any public bus stops where there is trash scattered around the bus stops like there is in the Washington D.C. public bus stops; and like there is in Louisville, Kentucky? I haven’t see any trash scattered around the streets of Boise; and I haven’t seen any public bus stops yet while I’ve been watching videos of Boise.

There’s nothing to miss in Idaho. I literally want to jump head first in to the concrete from the top of a 10 story building in Idaho. Most depressing fkin place I have ever been to in my life. I wish I never had been. I’d rather live among the insane liberal nut jobs in l.a than live in nothingsville Idaho. Thank your lucky stars you dnt live there.

Its been over twenty years since I’ve been in Boise; I use to rent a small bedroom in a small house from a divorced man who owned a bobcat; and the house was located near 36th; and state streets.

Ah used to drive up and down exactly where you were driving for four years. I grew up in mtn home and went to school at BSU. Looks the same. I moved to Phoenix 2 years ago.

There once was a Saddle Shop someplace downtown. The store is gone but I believe they left the sign up. My family owned that store years ago.

It was on the corner of 6th and Main, to the left when he stops at the light behind the bus at 10:17. Their signature horse sign is still on the roof. The entrance was where the Jimmy John's sign is.

@@mikephotos225 My Dad who has passed once drove all over the West selling saddles. It's too bad that the store is gone but it's location was just too valuable to keep as a storefront. Still the history lives on in memory. The stories my dad had were incredibly interesting.

I remember riding city buses in Boise in the early 1970s. It's not a great system and didn't have very good coverage but I could get from the airport to my house on the west bench easily.
