Driving in Germany: Autobahn A8 E45 E52 from München to Rosenheim

In this video you can drive along on Autobahn A8 E45 E52 from AK München-Süd to Rosenheim. The A8 is an autobahn that was once supposed to run from the Luxembourg border in the West to the Austrian border in the Southeast.
As you have seen in previous videos on the channel about the A8, the Autobahn will likely never be fully completed or connected. I have featured almost every part of the A8 on the channel now, only the section Rosenheim - Austrian border is missing, which I will upload sometime in the future.
Rosenheim is a middle-sized city about 50-60 kilometers Southeast of Munich, which is Germany's third largest city. Until the junction with the A93 in the direction of Kufstein, it's pretty much all 3-laned. This is necessary, because truck traffic from A93 tends to back up all the way to Rosenheim after national holidays.
During holiday times you could argue that 3 lanes from Rosenheim to the border wouldn't hurt either, however in the video you can already see that in some places this is not that easy. There are even some narrow parts where the shoulder is missing.

In my opinion one of the most scenic motorways in Germany. You drove about 200m away from where I live, in Holzkirchen :) I drive very often on this section of the A8, and I still enjoy a lot the views to the mountains, especially as the road descends to Rosenheim from Irschenberg.

I totally agree! I live in Norway, and we used the A8 as a part of our route to Croatia when I was a child. I remember though this section of the A8 as very scenic, and I really hope I can enjoy this route in the future as well.

Der Stau-autobahn 😜😇 especially where the hard shoulder is lacking in combination with the tight curvy route and height differences .... Dreieck Inn still isn't done? 🙄🤔
