After joining Koffamoto on the two legs of the trip from Oslo to Bergen, which were lovely, I was eager to take this one. I was not disappointed. Norway is a lovely land, at peace with itself and others. Some of the scenes will remain in my mind forever.

When I took the trip to Lillyhammer there was a little map on the side indicating what road we were ta king. This was very helpful.

Norway is amazing, that is for certain. I would give my left nut to be able to move there. It is very clear just how much many of Norway's primary highways really do need major upgrades, the E39 in this trip is a perfect example. There are quite a few narrow, not quite full two-lanes wide stretches and that becomes a pretty apparent problem when two large, commercial vehicles are trying to pass each other. Buss passing big-rig lorry, need I say more? Then there are the ferries, slow as snot and expensive to use. It's no wonder Norway's highway authorities desperately want to build those long, undersea tunnel crossings to replace the ferries. How come you cut out so many of the tunnels? The tunnels are such a big part of the fun of taking a virtual road trip through this lovely country. Tunnels and Norway are really kind of synonymous. Any chance you can upload an unedited version of the video - leaving all of the tunnels in at least.

I cut out the tunnels because they are usually rather long and I thought that would be very boring for most users. I wanted to show the beauty of Norway but tunnels are mostly dark, wet and rather uneventful ;)

I agree. But if one wants to spend time in a tunnel, go to 40:20!

@@koffamoto I find the tunnels fascinating in their own right, they can be pretty epic in their own way. Part of the journey of a road trip in Norway are the tunnels.

@@scottpardee6303 Eh. At 4.9k, that one is just kind of average for Norway. Here in the U.S., the longest road tunnel in the Lower 48 is just over 2 miles (3.25k) and that is in Seattle, WA. Lærdalstunnelen; now that's the ultimate epic road tunnel.

@@JKVisFX some of them certainly can be. I have some footage somwhere where you can see underground roundabouts in the tunnels. very cool. but most of the tunnels i've seen so far, are usually just rock in norway
