Crazy to think this is by far the biggest city in such a huge country. I love the way its built, very Scandinavian, does what it needs to do with no frills lol.

That because most of the country is a miles-thick block of ice.

Saludos.

Hi, I was there to watch one of the games in the tournament. Argentina did great. :) - Hola, estuve allí para ver uno de los juegos del torneo. Argentina lo hizo genial. :)

De acuerdo con usted. La ciudad parece de más de 17000 habitantes. Siempre me ha dado esa impresión. Debe tener más.

Yes. And in at least three different places a tree is growing. A small tree, one that could be mistaken for a bush ;)

I see some construction. What are they building?
@lisem.dalsgaard48435 жыл бұрын
MsG. Houses primarily. Housing in Nuuk are scarce and prices are too high for many - both rentals and ownerships.

Is there the in Greenland the same taxes when buying a new car, as in Denmark?
@lisem.dalsgaard48435 жыл бұрын
Rimrock300 No. There’s a set import tax of 50,000.00 DKK - regardless of type of 🚗- with the exception of electric cars that currently have no import tax

Hi Lise and thanks for the video. Do you live in Greenland? When does the summer end in Greenland? Thanks from Denmark
@lisem.dalsgaard48436 жыл бұрын
You are welcome. Yes, I have been living in Nuuk since 2007. Summer usually ends in September. This year the Summer has been unusually rainfull. We are hoping for more blue skies in August and September.

So does everyone use oil for heating there? Guess you cannot use electric, too expensive.
@lisem.dalsgaard48434 жыл бұрын
Greenland is primarily using green sustainable power sources. 75 % of your electricity is hydro power based. Those who live near a hydro power plant uses electricity for heating. In other places it is - as you suspect - heating by oil or other available fossil fuels.
@lisem.dalsgaard48434 жыл бұрын
You may notice in the video from app 0:52 theres a transformer station on the right. it transforms power from Nuuk's hydro power plant situated app 50 Km south
