Driving into Atlanta on the Downtown Connector

To give people a better view of what a busy day in Atlanta is like, you should have been filming at 4pm during real Atlanta rush hour. You could have made an hour video and traveled a very short distance. Also, there may be speed limit signs here, but no one pays attention to them. Their for decoration. Many of the police officers won't stop you because if you can drive and aren't swerving, traffic is moving fine. No reason to stop. Slow people have to get out of the way.

Reminds me of Houston and LA. The 405 in LA is something like 7-8 lanes across on both sides.

atlanta is such a joy to drive in. friendly fellow drivers waving hello and some blowing kisses. i remember once when i drove recklessly thru a redlight at 14th and Piedmont and hit this poor pedestrian who was trying to read a billboard while quinting in the blazing sun. as her crumpled body flew passed my window she apologized.

Trust me, Atlanta traffic is like heaven compared to traffic in Houston.. At least you don't have to deal with people from different countries who were not properly introduced to American traffic laws. Texas really goes on the notion of "if you can start your car, you can be licensed to drive"..

I went there this past Saturday (23May2009) for the 5th time and there was no body out there on the 85 compared to normal traffic. I've driven many places in the world and Atlanta drivers scare the sh out of me. Not only that, but thats bad when you see Georgia tags dodging and swirving exits at the last feet.

Peachtree center, west peachtree, peachtree street, every road in atlanta leads to peachtree something. It is a wonderful city though it gets frustrating at times.

relocated from portland, ore to covington,ga i took me a few days to get adjusted to the way people drive. got to be aware and aggressive.

You are absolutely right. I live in Vegas. There are bad drivers everywhere. They just don't care. Everyday when i am out and about, I or someone I am with almost get into an accident at least 10 times.

at 8min and 6 sec into your vid if you look to the right you will see the 24 hour metro cafe it is just an amazing place at around 10 pm and when your vid is at 9 min and 434 sec if you continued straight for about a half mile you would find the landmark diner on your right great food and good place to meet friends in atlanta....just thought i would add that...ME-.JAMES RENO
