An amazing tour of Atlanta from above showing sparkling skyscrapers, its fast paced infrastructure, historic sites and most remarkably --> the lush southern forests that surround and semi-engulf parts of the metropolitan area. Atlanta is truly is one of the world's most modern and beautiful cities redefining the concept of GREEN with its TREES, TREES and more TREES. And to think, it has a metro population of 5.7 million.

I miss my city! Houston is no comparison, so flat. I miss the beautiful scenery, & weather. Great video,: )

But these trees give such a big boost to local neighborhoods, like north Fulton. It was amazing experience to see so much flora and fauna for someone from north Europe.

Another thing many people forget, over 70 percent of the southeastern United States is still forest. Even a huge metropolitan area like Atlanta with 5.7 million people is dwarfed by Mother Nature. There are so many trees, you can't even see the vast majority of suburbs and highways from the air.

Atlanta is remarkable beautiful, with all those trees.

Everytime I'm flying into Atlanta, I know when we're getting close because the trees in Georgia are all super green, and extremely tall.

I wish Atlanta had some more skyscrapers and was a little like Chicago with above ground trains

I lived in north Fulton for 12 years -- very nice! Atlanta has some of the nicest suburbs in the US. But, most southern US cities have lots of trees. Biggest drawback to Atlanta is traffic. One thing I have not seen mentioned, the largest aquarium in the world is located in downtown Atlanta as well.

That aquarium....is in some weird off shoot road....bad place to put a tourist attraction.....
@CalvinMarshall-r6v6 ай бұрын
The ga alqarium is in the area next to all of the top of line attractions. The city leaders, businesses community, state officials, and etc will improve the streets and better access to these attractions. GO GA Aquarium, College Football Hall of Fame, World of Coca-Cola, Natural Center for Civil and Human Rights, Centennial Olympic Park, Sky View of Atlanta, Zoo Atlanta, Martin Luther King Jr Center for Civil rights and NationalHistory Site, Apex Museum, Children's Museum of Atlanta, the Georgia State Capital Museum, The Tabernacle, Mercedes- Benz Stadium 🏟, State Farm Arena, Fox Theater 🎥, AmericaMart Atlanta, Bobby Dodd Stadium 🏟 , Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University 🎥

Around 14:05 that part of the video has to be buckhead skyline I remember going there. One thing I do like about Atalanta it's many skylines, some cities have one others have five ATL has three. Not putting ATL down in my last comment but I did like it when I went there but I do prefer more of a City look ATL is not that type of city. ATL looks like a HUge sprawling suburb that never ends, and that is cool to some pple, and I can't say I hate it but to be honest I just prefer a more city look.

Atlanta! The epitome of "sprawl" and low density! This is not how to build a "city" if you can even call "Atlanta" that! A bunch of skyscrapers in the center with Mc Mansions interspersed! 10,000 square miles of Wal-Marts & McDonald's as far as the eye can see!
@NinerGreen10 жыл бұрын
Yawn. Spend some time in Atlanta. I don't live in Atlanta but I could easily see myself living there. Atlanta is much more than mcdonalds and wal-marts. Lots of great nabes and a rich history.

Most people in the US prefer space. That's one reason why I'm leaving Portland, OR for one of the spacious southern cities. Also, even with the low density Atlanta still has the thickest tree canopy of all major US cities. In fact, all southern cities are low density and have very thick tree canopies and extensive park systems.
@abrahimguyzer9209 жыл бұрын
NinerGreen Atlanta to me is just a massive overhaul of sprawl that needs to work on it's innerworkings.
