Nice video we used to camp out there a lot when we had a camper. It used to be first come first served. And they did no reservations . Now it's hard to get a site on the river I was told because you can reserve a site way in advance . It gets crazy out there on holiday weekends. You use to be able to drive on the inlet side at high tide it got very tricky to drive on iy you didn't have a 4x4. At night it's nice out there if you are camping out there it gets pretty deserted . When all the people go home . It's best to go out there during the week and after school starts back. Thanks for the video I have a lot of memories from out there.

Thanks for watching! I’m going to have to try that time period. I tried to plan a Labor Day weekend trip but they were booked solid.

It really is great, isn’t it? Even on tame beaches like this one. Thanks for watching!

Wow so many people. LOVE our isolated beaches. But sorry Nathan , your rigs will never be as cool as ours 😜

You definitely have better beaches and better rigs. But my 4Runner is alright.

Have you ever checked out Amelia Island State Park? It's not that far away from Huguenot, and it tends to be a little less crowded (and you can drive on it).
@NathanKingOverland2 жыл бұрын
I have indeed! I like that place even better. And Peter’s Point used to be fun, but the last time I tried going there the deputy at the check-in point told me driving on the beach was no longer allowed for nonresidents of Nassau County. Have you been to Portsmouth Island?
@melissaluscombe77172 жыл бұрын
Hey was great meeting you today at the Perth 4wd show. If I have 1 recommendation for you it’s to visit any beach while you’re here in Aus. Crystal clear waters. But if you can, go up north a bit.

My wife got to visit Rotto. Next time I’m there, I want to run up north.

This was nice, thanks for the tour! I looked it up because sadly, there was an article about a fight and the cops cleared the beach - looks like a huge beach to clear for a fight. So many disappointed people. I live close to Salt Life - when I saw you on 3rd St I just knew that's where y'all were headed! What was your first choice? I'm just hoping it wasn't Singleton's. Cheap tasting on styrofoam plates. Cheers!

Hey. Thanks for watching! People can ruin a good thing, can’t they? Our first choice was Singletons! 😂 But I’m glad we ended up at Salt Life. The food there was excellent. Have you seen my videos about Portsmouth Island? Now that’s a beach!

So how was the food? The beach was nice though a bit crowded for my likes. I guess its to be expected, so what can you do? cheers
@NathanKingOverland2 жыл бұрын
Very good. Our original choice was a place called Singleton’s, but when we found out about the 1-2 hour wait we headed over to the Salt Life Food Shack. I had shrimp and chorizo tacos that were out of this world!

Hey I have a 8 seater and lot of things to bring. Could I bring my small utility trailer onto this beach or no?
@NathanKingOverland Жыл бұрын
I saw a couple of people with trailers. I’m not sure about the actual rules, so I would read through them to be sure. www.coj.net/departments/parks,-recreation-and-community-services/recreation-and-community-programming/huguenot-memorial-park.aspx

@NathanKingOverland Жыл бұрын
Hi. You can’t camp on the beach I drove on, but there is a camping area in that park that has spots along river.
